Hubby transported his ECV yesterday on Southwest Air. He took the ECV through security in Birmingham, AL airport with absolutely no trouble.

His card that he had with him for his knee replacement surgery worked like a charm and YES he did need it for security. The TSA agent told him that without it, he would have had to go to a private room, remove his pants, and show his scar.

The gate agent requested the ECV about 20 minutes before boarding. He saw through the window that they took off the seat, folded down the tiller, disconnected the batteries, and loaded it upright through the rear door.

When he arrived in Orlando, they delivered the ECV inside at the gate, the seat was put back on and the batteries were reconnected for him by the time it arrived upstairs.

Really good experience every time he/we have flown with the ECV. Hope this continues!!
