Southwest Air and a senior

I found a web only price that I am happy with to travel. Does a senior have to use the senior rate or can they just go as an adult? The web price is significantly less. I can not find anything on the Southwest site other than they check ID before a person boards to verify a seniors age.

Can you be more specific? Is the fare only for the senior rate? If so, just show your ID to confirm.

The senior rate is more than the web rate so we want to use the web rate, not the senior rate. Does a senior have to travel as a senior I guess is my question. I suppose if I try and book it I will find out that way too.

If they handle it the same way they do the kids rates, just book the online price. We looked into a discount for DS, and it was cheaper to book him as an adult with their Websaver fare. DS doesn't have to fly as a child, so I would suspect that a Senior wouldn't need to travel as a senior.

My mom is a senior and I have always booked her as an adult and I have had no troubles at the Buffalo airport checking her in.

Thanks, we booked the tickets with the 'wanna get away' price and are very happy.

I noticed a letter has been left out of my Mom's first name. I'm hoping that is not an issue since we are not flying internationally. I have e-mailed Southwest Air but the reply can take up to five business days. Hopefully all will be OK!
