Southerners, lend me an ear! (Re: Heat)

I just about can't stand it anymore! Today is a somewhat pleasant and overcast 77 degrees here in central Mississippi. By Sunday, it's supposed to get up to 88 degrees - and all of us from the South know how that'll feel by the time the humidity is kickin'! Ugh!

I'm dreading this weekend since we have no air conditioning at the moment! Hubby is putting in a call to the landlord (who also happens to be my aunt) ASAP!

Now, you would think at 80 degrees one wouldn't need air conditioning - correct? Well, the former tenant in our apartments painted the windows shut! It's going to be a long, miserable summer if we don't get this taken care of soon!

Just had to gripe somewhere. Thanks for listening! This Mississippi heat is ALMOST enough to make me want to move north for the summer! LOL

Its been sunny and high in the 80's here for days now. I think we hit 88 yesterday. Yes, we're running the air already and yes, we feel that southern humidity already. That said, I'll still take this heat over the miserable weather conditions of the north!

Yeah, I complained about this the other day. We had 95 degree weather. It's too early for this. I melt in the heat!

Guess I'm getting acclimated to the south after our move from Ohio 4 years ago. I just turned on my AC this past Mon when it hit 90 for the first time this year. It's been hot and humid here in Houston but we got storms this AM-should be headed your way soon. We're trying to manage without the AC b/c of our electirc bills. I would definitel get the landlord to fix the window problem-what if there were a fire?? Anyway, I would much rather have heat and humidity and hurricanes than go back north with the snow and the cold!!

It was 101 this week in North TX. Way. Too. Hot. For. April.

Thunderstorms came through and today it's very pleasant and in the 70s so I was able to open up the house and flip the air off.

It'll warm back up next week but the weekend is only supposed to be in the 80s. =)

It's been in the 80s here, too. Kind of makes you wonder what happened to spring!

It's supposed to be 90 here today!! I haven't full on used my A/C yet though. To me 90 is cool compared to the 120s we are going to get in August! I love this weather I can actually sit outside and not be miserable starting in July that will be impossible!

We've set a couple of records here....in the 90's. I just keep the AC and ceiling fans going! Hate the heat!

I'm leaving FL in 2 weeks! We have a summer place in NC and I plan to stay through the summer. In my opinion, FL was *never* intended for human occupation. Let's let the snakes, mosquitoes and gators have it back!

Sorry, it's only 78 degrees here in HOTlanta, and only going up to 76 tomorrow.... MY kind of weather!!
