The final 6 miles of TOLL 429 (Western Beltway) between I-4 and US192 opened yesterday (December 9th). Anyone coming from the Tampa or Lakeland areas via I-4 can now enter the 429 northbound and come into Disney World via the new Western Way entrance. The toll for that segment would be $1.00. Most of you are already familiar with using the 429 and Western Way when coming from the north off Florida's Turnpike.
The huge new I-4/TOLL 429 interchange cannot be missed with its high flyover ramps. You'll find it east of the US 27 and Championsgate/Reunion interchanges and west of the other Disney interchanges.
The opening also creates an alternate route to downtown Orlando if I-4 is congested near the Attractions or other areas by using 429 north to the Turnpike south to TOLL 408 (East-West Expressway) east.
