My 2 year old daughter loves soup and could live on it.

Do any (or many?) restaurants have soup?

How does soup count on the DDP. Since she is only 2 she doesn't count but I was wondering if DH or I added soup to our meal and we could share it with her. If not, soup is not all that pricey usually so it probably wouldn't be a big deal for us to add soup LOL.

Also, since she is only 2 --- would it be a problem for me to pack cup-a-soup packets and ask for hot water (like how you get with tea?) in the absense of soup.

I know that many places both TS and CS serve soups but since I have never done the dining plan I cannot answer your questions. Have you looked at the menus on allearsnet.com? Here are a few places that we have has soup from:

WPE in DTD has amazing butternut squash
Beirgarten has delish potato leek soup
Le Cellier, yummy cheese soup
Japan, clear broth or miso soup
Sunshine Season, they rotate 3 soups and they are usually very good
Tusker House, AWESOME corn chowder
CP has 2 soups that rotate and have been good in the past

When we tried to make reservations for LeCellier, the CM told us that they have LeCellier's cheese soup at Seasons by the Land.

Never seen it there, we go to to Epcot 6 times a year and always head to Sunshine Seasons for a snack..if they had Le Cellier cheese soup there the line would be longer than SOARIN!!!! :rotfl:

a bunch of the kids' menus offer chicken noodle soup as an appetizer... i am SURE a server could figure out a way to get your dd a cup... even if it had to count as your/dh's appetizer :)

I had the best homemade vegetable soup at Cosmic Rays at MK....it was delicious and tasted like my mom used to make it

kona has chicken noodle soup .

My kids both love the Kona Chowder. Most places have some sort of soup, or have access to someplace where they could get you something. Not a problem.

For my money, the very BEST soup is the Chicken Noodle Soup served at Beaches & Cream at the Yacht & Beach Club. They have great burgers & ice cream, yes, but, the chicken noodle soup holds an extra special place in my heart. & yes, there is a story behind it, so I'm sorry if I go off on a tangent a moment.

In January 1996 I went down to WDW (staying at the Beach Club) on a trip that included my parents, my brother. My dad had undergone surgery for cancer in May 1995 and had been undergoing (& I think may still have been, though I can't recall for certain... since he's a doctor, he could administer his own chemo) chemotherapy. Anyway, during that trip, dad became ill (so ill, in fact, that at 3 AM we had to make an emergency trip to the emergency department). While he was ok and returned to the hotel later that night, he wasn't up to continuing touring the parks. However, the WONDERFUL Mousekeepers sent him up daily chicken noodle soup from Beaches & Cream to his room to help him feel better.

So, as far as I'm concerned, their chicken noodle soup can help cure ANYTHING, as well as tasting WONDERFUL. & just fyi, I'm VERY proud to say that dad's completely cancer free now & going strong. Can I completely credit it to the chicken soup? Absolutely not... BUT, do I think it, & the pixiedust: from the Mousekeepers, helped out? You'd better believe it!

Anyway, Enjoy the Magic!

Oh, to answer your other question... When we were on the DDP our servers were always happy to bring our 2 y.o. a cup of soup at no charge.

As for counter service restaurants, a few times we asked if we could get a soup instead of dessert, and every time they said yes! Just ask before you order, in case things have changed.

Well, my favorite soup at WDW is strawberry soup at 1900 Park Fare breakfast buffet.

That is so touching and wonderful. I am so glad your Dad is well and cancer free.
