We've never eaten at LeCellier (and still don't have any desire to have a full sit-down meal there) but dh & I both would really like to try their Cheddar soup. Anyone know if we would be able to get a cup/bowl to-go? Thanks!

They only time you can get it is at the Food and Wine Festival at the Kiosk. The restaurant doesn't sell it to go.

In general, the answer is going to be no take-out.

In the past, I understand it was allowed on a regular basis, but reports are usually that takeout requests are being denied since the restaurant got so popular. You can ask at the podium. If they're not too busy they may accommodate you, but be prepared to be denied.

My friend did this once. We stood and waited in the lobby while they went and packed up the order. This was a few years ago (2005?), however. Not sure if they would do it now or not.

Thanks all for the info. I would just (attempt to) make reservations, but we already have 1 reservation at Epcot, and figured another day we'd try to "eat around the world" by getting a little bit here & there. Thought we'd try to fit cheddar soup into that plan. So I won't count on it, but I guess it won't hurt to ask and see what happens. Thanks again!

As vettegirl stated you can get it at the Canada cart during the food and wine festival. If you are going within the next few days than you are in luck.

Try to get the ADR and then just order the soup and a dessert! You don't have to eat a full meal just because you have an ADR.

Exactly! I'm spending the day in Epcot with our youngest son, and I just made a lunch ADR at Le Cellier for soup, salad, pretzel bread and a kids' meal! When it's our whole family, we'll do a full dinner, but for the two of us, a quick lunch will be perfect.

I got the soup to go and pretzel bread to go last year from Le Cellier. There was no problem at all although the bread. On the same trip I was also able to get the grapefuit cake from the Brown Derby at Starring Rolls.

We made reservations for soup, pretzel bread and a side of mushroom risotto. I honestly feel bad taking up a table and would rather get it to go. At least our reservations are at 4:05, probably not many people wanting to eat then.

what time do they switch the menu from lunch to dinner (and from regular table service to "signature" status) I thought I had read the switch was at 4:00 PM...

If it does switch menus at 4, that soup is going to be $9.00 a bowl and there is no side of mushroom risotto on the dinner menu. Just so you know before you go :thumbsup2

Seems like anything past 3 PM is dinner. I made a reservation once for 3:30, and the confirmation said it was dinner. So at 4:05 pm, yes, it will likely be the dinner menu and dinner prices. I passed on $9 a bowl for the soup at dinner (although that may be a bargain compared to a dixie cup for 3 bucks at the food & wine festival)

When I called in Oct. to make my final payment I was whining to the lady about not getting into Le Cellier to get the soup and bread sticks. She said that you can get it go, she said she does it all the time, so we are definetly going to try it.

Very true! I went in May with some extended family and they had a very late ADR around 8:30pm. I ended up eating an App and a dessert. And my cousin ended up ordering 2 apps.

My DD and I did this at lunch at Chefs de France. We both just wanted an onion soup and dessert. The waiter was not pleased and made it clear he wasn't pleased. We ended up eating the soup which was not good that day and didn't bother with dessert. We felt too uncomfortable.
