Soup and salad

Can we order these as an Appetizers/Starter as it doesn't seem very clear on this.

Yes, you can get soup or salad if they offer it on the menu. One or the other would be considered an appetizer.

This is almost always the case, though there are cases where some or all soups and/or salads are excluded as appetizers. (Often, in those circumstances, they're available as entrees.)
