How soundproof is the wall between the studio and one bedroom in a 2 bedroom lockoff? Is it decent? Or will my neighbors hear my screaming children at 6am. Lol particularly at BWV

Not very at BWV. Yes, the person in the villa that adjoins yours will hear your screaming children at 6 am. The connecting door is in the living room area of the studio and the 1 bedroom, not in the entry area like in other resort villas.

BWV has very little soundproofing between the units. Every wall "talks." We heard the child in the connecting unit CONTINUALLY in our recent visit.

The wall sound proofing is actually fairly good although BW is not that good. The main problem is the double doors that separate the rooms. One door closes and can only be opened from the studio, and the other door closes and can only be opened from the 1BR. There is some space between the doors and they are not completely blocked off at the bottom. As noted above, those doors are in the living room at BWV making noise more easily heard because you are in that room a lot. At others, the doors are closer to the front entry door and thus more out of earshot. One way to improve soundproofing is to call housekeeping, ask for an extra blanket (no charge), and then use that blanket by placing it between the doors particularly covering the bottom.

I never had a problem with room to room soundproofing, but I had a problem with outside noise. (BWV and OKW).

We heard the studio people in our one bedroom at OKW. Didn't hear people from our one bedroom at Jambo, but I don't know if the studio people were quiet or just not there.

yikes, screaming kids at 6am? I'd go back to bed! (not a morning person, so glad I got a nightowl child, LOL)

We have been next to some families who yelled the entire time while in the room. Most of the time we never hear our neighbors.

I will tell you that room insulation and sound proofing is almost non existent.

We have placed a towel between the connecting doors. That seemed to damper any noise.

What about placing your suitcases stacked against the door?
Would that help?

Maybe the BCV studio is now off our list.

How is the sound from the Studio connecting door at the GFV or the POLYV or the BCV?

Guess that we have been LUCKY!:bounce: Never have heard any "next door neighbor" noise! Haven't stayed at BWV though... HAPPY to have "quiet" neighbors I guess!:cheer2:

We've never had a problem. Several times at BWV/BCV when the kids are going nuts with grandma, we'd just shut the connecting doors and lock all of them in the studio portion. If I'm in the living room, not making any sound, I'll hear muffled screams. I would just turn on the TV (both sides if possible) to mute any screaming kids. Or even have the AC fan running will do it.

How is the sound from the Studio connecting door at the GFV or the POLYV or the BCV?
Should not be an issue at VGF. The connecting door to the 1 bedroom is next to the entry.

The villas that have a connecting door in the living of the 1BR to the lockoff studio allows a lot of noise going either direction. I had a number of sleepless nights when a family with a colicky baby sleeping (?) in the living room of the 1BR next too us at VWL. I swore that infant was in the same studio with us. I have only stayed in dedicated villas at BWV. I did not notice any noise next door.
