Sort Of a OKW Question

Hi all,
Our 1st visit home to okw is in nov.Since it was my DH who made it possible for us to become members i would really like to surprise him by having a gift waiting for him when we arrive in our room.
Have looked at gifts of a lifetime and its probably a bit expensive thru them,was wondering if I bought him some dvc merchandise,IEolo shirt from the store at OKW etc,would they make sure it was in the room for when we arrived,Any advice would be gratefully recieved,many thanks,

Things like that can be arranged! What a nice thought.

You might call MS and ask for assistance as to the bets way to handle the details. The general store can certainly provide something. There are many options available thru Disney. The WDW florist also handles delivery of some items.

Doc' advice is pretty good. It might create a problem by having something in the room since sometimes room assignments can be changed or not made to the very last.
You might consider a Gift Certificate at the Cal Grill or Flying Fish. We treated our daughter and DH with a bottle of wine for the night they went to the FF. We talked with the people at the desk at the FFand selected the wine and had it charged to us. When they were seated they had it on the computer at the FF and the waiter brought the wine to the table with two glasses and poured with our compliments.
Just a thought.

I don't think they will put anything in the room prior to check-in because of the possibility of room changes. But, they could deliver the same day and chances are you'll be out when it arrives and the "surprise" will be there for your return. Even someone knocking and handing you a present is fun.

Yeah, why not coordinate it so it's delivered at a specific time. You could conveniently be taking a shower or something so that he answers the door. I'm certain the staff will help you with this. There's plenty of nice things at the general store...you may even be able to have some champagne sent up to toast your home away from home.

The General Store will deliver Grocery Orders. I'm sure that you could arrange to have them deliver a shirt or an OKW item included.
Another suggestion is use the WDW mailorder service. WDW has a service, where you can order any WDW merchandise right from a store and have it shipped to your home. We ordered 4 OKW and 4 BWV plastic tumblers from the General Stores at each site and had them shipped to us. WDW charges $ 8.50 (or did so a couple of years ago) for the service. You could buy some OKW stuff and sneak it into his suitcase?

The General Store has some very nice prints of OKW. You might think about one of those. That way you can look at it whenever you get homesick. We've picked up prints of BW whenever we stayed there, and just picked one up of OKW when we stayed there in May. Only problem is everytime I look at them I start counting the days until our next trip home in Feb '02!
