Sorry, yet another MNSSHP question

I must be crazy because i dont see it on the website. it only goes until 9/30.

I cant find it online either. i saw the spreadsheet but i dont see it anywhere on the disney site. how do we know the spreadsheet is correct?

I posted it earlier in this thread, post 14.

where is that spreadsheet from? how do you know its official if its not on the site? this is not being snarky, just am curious how you know its correct. id hate to start making my plans and then it not be correct. thanks :)

the spreadsheet is from the travel agents website. I've seen many posts (while lurking through almost every thread) that says the official Disney site is usually the last one updated.

Of all my choices, I decided against arrival night. I don't want to do Sunday 9/30 as we would like to do evening EMH at HS. And now, thanks to kaligal, I am afraid of 10/4 :rolleyes1:rotfl:. This would be our last night and with my luck, it would rain. Sooo, I guess Friday 9/28 is party day, assuming I can get tickets. Question: even though the tickets are officially non-refundable, will Disney refund if party is cancelled due to weather?

I'm sorry. There is a good chane it won't rain.

I have terrible luck when it comes to hard ticket events. I was always being rained out. That's why I never buy tickets more than a day out and why i factor the rain thing in.

I'm so torn. If I vote that you go on the fourth, I feel my bad luck will transfer to you, lol. If I vote against it, it will surely be the loveliest of all nights you're there.

I must obtain.

Have fun. MNSSHP is fun. :)

Hello! I am traveling 9/27-10-5. I posted this same question last week, my predicament is almost the same, in that we are going with friends who leave before us so our only party choices are the 28th and 30th. I was leaning towards the 28th too, because of HS EMH. People replied to my thread in favor of the Sunday party, saying that Fridays are usually busier...I still wonder though, because so many will head to F&W for the opening night. I am sure that either night won't be too crowded, it is still September, after all...

We have attended the Halloween party twice before, 2008 and 2010. First time was in a deluge of rain, disaster. I was so disappointed. Second time was great, midway through our trip. Friends we travel with have done party on arrival day and said it was too much. I am still unsure which date we'll pick, but I am leaning towards Sunday 9/30. Have fun:goodvibes

Our options for MNSSHP are Tue 9/25, Fri 9/28, Sun 9/30, or Thur 10/4.

What are your thoughts on going to MNSSHP on our arrival night (9/25)? Don't have an arrival time yet, but an early enough time can be arranged.

I am thinking I would prefer to go to an October party (just because it feels more Halloween-ish) but since arrival day would probably not be a park day would that be a good day for the party? Or too much too soon?

1st choice is Thur 10/4 (toward end of stay, no EMH we care about), but wondered about 9/25.

Need some experienced opinions please. I would like to do HS EMH on Sunday 9/30, so that would not be my 1st choice but would be ok with it.

Thanks, Beth

Hi there....we have gone to MNSSHP the last two years and loved it. The first time, I bought all my tickets at AAA, including the MNSSHP tickets for a set date (the last night of our trip [a September Thursday]). That night was great, the crowds were so low and we had an amazing time. The next morning, we did drag a bit, but I do think we were tired overall by then, not just from the night before.

Fast Foward to last year. We were there for 12 days; I bought tickets through Y.E.S. and decided to wait for the MNSSHP tickets until we got there and had a better idea of when we wanted to go. This time, I went to the GC and bought tickets there the day of the party we wanted to go to. There was no worry about sell out, because I chose a weekday and I had been really paying attention to the crowd levels (and the sign in front of MK that says they still have tickets available, lol). If it had been the Friday night before the 40th Birthday or the next weekend, Columbus weekend, I think those would have sold out. We had a great party....another Thursday night party. It seemed more crowded than last year, but a good deal of construction was going on and making less room for the crowds to spread out. This year should be great with the new expansion (fingers crossed for soft openings during MNSSHP!). One word of advice, do not sign your child up for the DHS Y.E.S. class the day after the party. Not enough bad Disney coffee in the world to help you...such an early class time! Not good, not good at all. :sad2: ;)

We are going in late October 24-30, the dates of the party for us is Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. When I was planning the trip a web site had predicted a Monday party. I originally planned to go on Monday but now no party. Now I'm thinking Thursday. The problem with Thursday is that we have to be at Epcot at 8:45 the next morning. I really would like to go on Sunday but I think it will be extremely crowded The pains of planning:rotfl2: No matter what we do we will have fun. So what do you think Thursday or Sunday?

Ok Nature Mom, I'm listening! Friday is going to be a slow day because the class is at Epcot, no matter what we do we will not be staying at Epcot on Friday.

I think it depends on your transportation, honestly. If you are leaving the party and riding the bus back to your resort, then go to the Sunday party. If you have your own vehicle or ride the resort boat, then go Thursday. Say the party ends at 12, you have to deal with all the transportation, etc. just to get back to where you can go to bed and be up for an early class the next day? No, thank you. :sad2: We stay at the Fort, so we hop the boat, then hop on our golf cart and are back to our place very quickly and able to get to bed. :thumbsup2 Also, the DHS class was at 7:45, so that made for a rough morning. We had our own car and didn't have to deal with transportation, so I can only imagine how much worse it would have been if we had too.

Ok Nature Mom, I'm listening! Friday is going to be a slow day because the class is at Epcot, no matter what we do we will not be staying at Epcot on Friday.

:thumbsup2
