"Boycott EMM...as well as the evening extra hours opportunities (if they bring that back as well ) because if we don't , if Disney can get people to pay for extra time in the parks in any kind of significant numbers you will see them phase out EMH for resort guests . They already cut the evening EMH from 3 hours to 2 a couple of years ago . This is them testing the waters so it is important that this test FAILS so we can keep EMH for WDW resort guests . I know nothing is guarenteed and nothing is forever but if this program is a success I fear EMH will in a year or so be nothing but a memory ."

"Hey gang , starting soon you can join Mickey and all his friends at the "Happiest place on earth " and pay more and get less ! Here at Disney we know what suckers you are so we're going to ring every last cent we can out of you for Premium this and Deluxe that , as well as "Exclusive " the other thing . We know you used to get most of this with your Disney resort stay for no additional charge but...

RIP Free resort parking...which was supposed to drive more people to use the ME which is now being discontinued...RIP ME... RIP Free Magic bands...which was supposed to encourage(?),enable(?).make it easier (?) for people to spend more money .

Also posted this back in 2016 and expect to see this happen (or something like it) soon as well...

Serious question: how would boycotting EMHs prove anything except that Disney doesn't need them? I guess I'm just not following your logic here, unless I'm missing the sarcasm or something.

His point is that Early Morning Magic (EMM) is not the same thing as Extra Magic Hours (EMH). One cost and one was free.

Right, there's what I missed. And I should have known because I've done EMM. I probably just blocked it from my memory because my one experience with it was January 9th last year, when 2/3 of the offered rides went down.

I think the previous poster was recommending that we boycott Early Morning Magic and After Hours events. They were both separately ticketed events at around $80 to $100 per ticket. It seems that Disney is now planning to do away with the extra magic hours that were free and our assumption is that they will be replaced by more of these paid events.

We have done both early morning magic and after hours events and we loved them both. However, I’ve had enough of Disney at the moment....they’ve taken away many of the best parts of the trip. We drive twelve hours each way and have usually gone four to five times per year. We stayed at the Contemporary, bought the dining plan, had annual passes, went to every separately tricked event offered during our trips, used Minnie Vans, etc. We love Disney but, right now, so many of the things that we loved are gone and I’m not sure if they will return....and we won’t return until they do. Honestly, Universal seems to have more to offer at the moment....and it pains me to admit it.

Mouse needs heads on those 100,000 pillows. Why bother when there are no perks for staying on site? They have to come up with something to justify the cost of the on-site hotels.
