Sorry to ask again, but I need more prayers and PD

I just posted this one the community board, but I also wanted to post it here since you are all my dis family.

I hate to clutter up the community board asking for prayers, but my sweetie's brother has turned up missing. He lives in Apex,North Carolina. Sweetie and I live in TN, and their dad lives in Washington. The police just woke his dad up about an hour ago, wanting to know if he knew where Fred was. They said that he has been missing for approximately 10 days.

He is an avid bicycle rider, and competes in races. He and his bike is missing, but his car is still there and has not been moved, so he hasn't gone off somewhere in a race. They said it appeared that he headed out to ride/practice and never came back.

Fred had talked several times about having near misses with cars because there really isn't a "safe" place for him to ride his bike. His dad is afraid that someone has hit him and left him in a ditch without reporting it.

So, first off, I'm asking for prayers that he will be found safely. And I am also going to ask all NCers if they know a Fred R. (really long last name) 39 years old, lives in Apex. If you know him, would you please email me at dmslush@yahoo.com or pm me and let me know if you have seen him in the last 10 days. Or if you could let know if you have heard anything about a missing man from Apex. We don't know if this has been reported to the public in NC or if it is just now being treated as a missing person.

Thank you both so much! It is just so frustrating that we are all so spread out. He is in NC, Ken and I are in TN, and their dad is in washington. And to beat it all, Ken was out of town working, so I had to call him and tell him all of this over the phone, and I would have really rather been able to tell him in person. He was crying so hard, I felt so bad for him.

It also makes me so mad that he has apparently been missing for about 10 days and we are just now finding out. I understand that there are rules and such about listing a competent adult as a missing person, but you would have thought SOMEONE could have called us.

Thanks so much to all of you. I posted this on several boards today and have gotten the best responses. I have been emailed from people that live in Apex and are keeping an eye out for Fred, I have gotten email from a lady that works at their local cbs affiliate, people that are in national bike associations that are forwarding emails with his description to all of their members across the US. I never imagined the responses that I would get. It sure does convince me that the internet has made this one small country! There is no way we could have gotten the word out like this without all of your help! It has really helped us all make it through the day.

Ken will be leaving first thing in the morning to go to North Carolina to see if he can find him, find some type of clue, or something.
