Here I go again with questions.. if I buy before October of this year im not worrying about 2011 points the points I would get this October would I be able to use them the middle of next October? See we like to travel mostly between Oct- Jan sometimes during spring or summer. I am trying to figure out what would be the best use year for us. I would also be borrowing from the next use year which I think would be 2013 or 14 not really sure can someone please help.

Ok I am really not sure from your question what you are asking, sorry.

However if you have an October use year, on October 1 you get the 2012 points. Those points are good until the end of Sept. 2013 unless you bank them.

As to what is the best use year, the biggest thing is having to cancel, other than that it really does not matter. And you will have DVC for so long you travel times are very likely to change.

No problem at all, we have an October use and have for a very long time and I constantly have to stop and think what points I am using especially on trips that happen between Jan and Sept.

The other thing with October use, if you want to bank any points, that has to happen by the end of May, 4 months out.

Oct UY is great for vacations between Oct - May which is your banking period should something happen and you need to cancel a vacation. Vacations canceled June - September have to be taken before the end of September or the points are forfeited.
