Sorry, my mistake. After taking a better look at the online quote, I realized that it did not include the dining plan.

I researched a few options online and then called Disney for ressies. The price that I was quoted with the pin for 40% (the free dining one expired this week) was actually $97 more than just booking online without any offers. I mentioned it to the cast member and she checked the price and quoted me $1,600+. Am I not doing it right online?

Here's my info: - sorry didn't include dining in original post. Thanks Beth for mentioning this. The cast member had to check for the code to add dining to the pin code offer. Maybe she used the wrong code?

Dates: 11/28-12/04
Resort: Caribbean Beach
# - 2 adults
tickets: 1 day passes - needed for dining - have unused tickets from previous visits
dining

online = $1,187.66
Disney - $1,284.68

This is what I was quoted online

Price Summary Total $1,187.66 Insurance Declined
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the price I was given when I called Disney:

Thanks.

I would say that there is a miscommunication on what exactly is included. I think there is more included in your quote from disney than just a room and 2 adult one day tickets. I got that same 1187 for the room through online with one day tickets. But am having trouble coming up with the right combination to get the number for the disney quote. I was wondering why you have one day tickets. Usually people are only getting one day tickets to qualify themselves for something like dining. You don't list getting dining in your online quote...that alone gets it pretty close but not exactly the same. Other things would be the room view, tickets, dining plan (regular versus ddp versus delux), and insurance (133.90). Insurance automatically gets added if it isn't taken out, this is often found to be an issue. One last thing, since I've seen it a few times recently is your actual dates, is the 4th your last night or your check out day?

Looks like they added trip insurance. I would call back and have them apply the discount unless you didn't book yet.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that since I declined the insurance when she asked if I wanted it. If that's the case, I don't understand why the rack rate online would be almost the same (if you add insurance) as the rate that I was quoted with the 40% pin.

Thanks for mentioning dining - I thought that I had included everyting. We are looking at standard view, 1 day tickets, ddp with no insurance and we would be checking out on the 4th.

I came up with the same thing as Disney after figuring in the discount, tickets, & DDP. Then when you add dining using rack rate, that comes to $1691.....so it looks like a savings of $405 with the 40% off :goodvibes.
