We arrive Saturday, and I've read posts on tipping, but my brain is apparently already on vacation and I can't remember much of what I read!

Questions: Who do I tip? I seem to remember the bellhop and the mousekeeping.....

How much do I tip? $1/bag seems to come to mind.... Can't remember anything about how much for mousekeeping.

Who am I forgetting??? It's our first trip, and I don't want to miss anyone. I know the experience will be magical and I don't want to come home with guilt if I forget someone. TIA

mousekeeping varies greatly - some DVC don't tip - other give a $1 a day per person - others just give a $10 or $20 at the end of their trip.

you get the bell services right!

also remember to tip the valet parking guy - $2 each time (this also varies) - some only tip when he brings the park - not when he parks it.

It is also customary to tip housekeeping if they bring you something extra you request, like extra bed pillows.
If you have turn down service provided(deluxe resorts not DVC) it is customary to tip them approx the same as the daytime housekeeping.
Room service automatically has a 18% gratuity added but many people add to this. I always round it up to 20-25%.
If maintenance comes to fix something in your room, you do not tip them, nor should they accept it, if offered.
Conceirge Service (again deluxe resorts not DVC), if you use them to make PS, Circue de Sol tickets, transportation arrangements etc. Many times WDW Conceirge will not take a tip but will accept a gift for the whole staff like some fudge and cookies from the Boardwalk Sweet Shop.
Have a great trip. I will be there a few days after you. Can't wait!

This is a preliminary question...but once SSR opens I intend to use the Spa. Is there a standard percentage tip for Spa services? We're thinking 20%. What would you tip for a $90 massage?

DH and I are heading to Vegas  in a couple weeks and will use the spa there. I guess I need to find out before then! :hyper:

We debate this occasionally...if you request something like bed rails when you make your reservation and housekeeping or whomever fails to have them in your room.....do or should you tip when someone brings them up. We have had about a 50/50 success with bed rails showing up.
