Going to Orlando for the first time this August. I am absolutley dreading the crowds!! The forst night its my BIls birthday so we want o go out for a nice meal that night I have heard about Priority seating and wanted to ask a few questions about it.

1. Does it only apply to WDW restaurants? (I take it you can still make reservations for other restaurants)

2. What do we have to do to book a PS?

3. As we are going in August should we try and book this for all our evening meals?

Thanks muchly!!!

If you want to eat in a specific restaurant, make a PS. It's easy to do. Just call WDW on 001 407 939 3463 upto 90 days before you want the ressie. You make a PS for WDW park & resort restaurants & some DTD ones too. You can also make a PS for hard rock cafe using their website. I believe you can make ressies for some of the city walk restaurants, but am not entirely sure on the logistics of that as it's obviously not through Disney!

Hi there

I tend to book PS's for nearly every day. I hate to think that when I want to eat and I get to the restaurant I have to wait 40mins - 1 hr, but I am a bit impatient :) It depends if you want to go with the flow - you could always plan a few meals.

What restaurants are you thinking of for BIL birthday?

thats probably what we will do - only problem is my family would be quite happy to wait but I am as impatient as hell!

I don't think it's essential for every meal you book, especially if you are of a spontanious (sp?) nature, but if you are impatient or really want to eat at a particular restaurant PS is really useful.

We tend to get PS for all the sit down meals we'll be having at WDW, infact it's a key part of our planning as it helps build the excitement!!

PS can really come in handy when the weather turns nasty at a park too, last July we had PS at Hollywood & Vine for dinner and it was great, as the weather took a turn for the worse people were looking for places to eat at MGM and the queues were horrific - we on the other hand a 10 minute wait in our ponchos as opposed to other guests who had a 90 minute wait!
