I'm thinking about going to MGM on the 4th of July. I was just wondering if anybody knows if you have to be seated for Fantasmic in order to see Sorcery in the Sky. I have a Fantasmic Dinner package planned later in the trip so I don't need to see it on the 4th and I'd rather not wait like cattle to get into the arena for Sorcery in the sky. Any advice?

You do not have to be seated in the Fantasmic! theater to view Sorcery in the Sky. In fact, you probably wouldn't be able / wouldn't want to be in the theater. Sorcery in the Sky is a fireworks show that will be shot off above MGM, so you should be able to view it from just about anywhere in the park

What is Socerery in the sky? I never heard of it. Is it only on the 4th of July?:wizard:

Socery in the Sky is a special fireworks display that I believe is shown only a few times per year, the 4th of July happens to be one of those times. Very crowded so arrive early. ::MickeyMo

Last year I watched from between the hat and the movie ride. Great view.

Does anyone have a link to the dates when SITS is shown?

Socery is shown rarely. July 4th and New Years eve are the most common dates. It used to be shown quite often prior to Fantasmic.

I was lucky enough to see Sorcery in the Sky on NYE. We watched it from near the hat and the ABC theater. Wow! I am so glad I've witnessed it! Movie music, music from Fantasia, and even more!

They will also being doing SITS on August 1 this year as part of the "ESPN The Weekend" celebration going on at MGM to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ESPN.
