We went back in '12 and went nuts collecting cards for this. Should we bring those on this trip or has something changed with them? We have all of the cards except the ones from Beta testing. TIA!

You can still use your old cards if you wish, but now you can use your Magic Band as your "key" to activate the portals and track your game.

You'll have to start a new game but the old cards can still be used. Older games are only accessible up to about 18 months, some a few months longer but not many.

Definitely bring your cards, and when you go into MK stop at the fire station to start your game. Make sure that everyone in your party starts a game, because then you all get a pack of cards, even if only one is playing, so you have more possible different cards. I think there are now 70, so not sure how many you got previously. You can also trade cards with others at portals if they want to, and can sometimes get a special card, like one they give out at the parties.
