Sorcerer's Hat Short Video on 2/2/2015

I'm back from vacation and thought I'd throw my short video up here while it's still fresh. Nothing too terribly news worthy, but cool to see the insides of this structure. I'm also finally getting around to playing around with my YouTube channel and a website I pay for and hardly ever use.

Taken with a Panasonic HDC-HS250-K plus $15 wide angle lens.

I wonder if they are going to keep the top part for something in the future

If they were going to keep it I doubt they would have cut a hole in it so clumsily. It looks like fiberglass. The hole was probably cut to run a chain down and lift it off with a crane.

It at least gives you a better understanding on why taking down the hat (or the wand before) is such a huge undertaking. A lot of support structure under there.
