Sorcerer Pal Mickey

Hello, folks! I don't know if this is the exact best forum for this post, but . . .
We are wanting to get a pal mickey for our july trip. I think a lot of the joy of the Mickey will be getting additional outfits for him (3 year old boy loves dressing stuffed animals, like build-a-bear). So do I spend less at an outlet for old tuxedo mickey, or do I buy new sorcerer mickey??? Does the sorcerer's outfit come completely off (hat & all) so he can be re-dressed (and is his technology more advanced), or should I get a discount tuxedo mickey and spend the extra on outfits??????

I just got a tuxedo Mickey for my trip this week. I got him on ebay for about $30 I think. The technology is the same I'm pretty sure. For now it's just a basic wireless signal with a preset range so you get info about EE when u come close to it etc. Later pals may be updated. I would guess, if there was a difference that that receiver might be stronger. everything does come off. the bow tie is loosely tied on by one of those plastic tag attachments but can easily be cut off. the switch to turn him off is a bit inconvenient (in the back of his head, and the zipper starts at the bottom so you sometimes have to loosen the clothing to unzip etc.)
