I just wanted to add my prayers for Sophie and your whole family. I'm so sorry for the incredible loss that you all have suffered.

I kept seeing the purple ribbon in everyone's posts but I hadn't been to this board in awhile so I wasn't sure what it was for. It saddened me deeply to find out.

I pray for Sophie's recovery and for God to hold you all in His hand and comfort you with His peace.

God bless and greetingd to our DIS Family,

Sorry this has taken sometime but there were pressing matters to attend.

We met with the doctors on Thursday and were told that based on pysical exam and another EEG on Sophie, that we needed to decide if we were going to continue on the ventilator or not. There was still little brain activity. David did decide to remove support as we did alot of praying for guidance and this was revealed as the best course to persue. Well the ventiator was removed at 5:30pm on friday night and here we are almost 24 hrs later and Sophie's heartrate and respirations are showing normal. David then was angry as to why he had to go thru this and make this decision, and I reminded him of the story of Abraham and Issac, that this may be God's reward for his faithfulness to God's word.

Yes we still believe in miracles, GOD DOES ANSWER PRAYER!

We remain optomistic and feel a calm and strength we have not felt since this all began 3 weeks ago. Praise God!

Please continue to pray for Sophie and all those who suffer and need God's healing and comforting.
