We were fortunate enough to go to wdw last month and will most likely be able to go in November. DH & I have been kicking around the idea of also going in June. (we went last June so we know what we are in for with the heat, humidity, crowds & rain). We have a couple of day trips planned for the summer but DH hates to drive and suggested we bag all them and just take the week for Disney. We have ap's so we would need a room and airfare. Just got the tax refund in the mail yesterday, how convenient :)

It's been a tough couple of months. While we were on vacation in April DH had a 4-day seminar after our trip so he was doing work for that. DS was going through something and was a bugger for part of the trip - he also wasn't feeling well. Both of them say that the last trip wasn't as much fun for them and they missed oout on certain things.

Part of me would love to wake up June 19th (the kids get out of school on the 18th) and say - Get ready - we're going to Disney World! :) Both kids love going and always ask when we are going back. Hard to explain to others what the place means to us, but for me it really feels like going home. I could spend the entire trip just walking aorund world showcase.

Not sure what the purpose of the post is...just how many times a year would you go before you got sick of it??? Or is that possible? Overload? I love that we get to go as a family. Our kids won't be little forever and I want to cram in as muuch together time now as possible. :)

we don't have kids yet, and we're going 3 times this year.

already went once in january, going again in september, and again in December.

I cant' wait - it's a different trip every time we go! We bough AP's too this year...just trying to get our money's worth out of them! hehehe

We went in Dec and were planning on going back this Nov, but Jeff is making a trip to Japan in Jluy and since I cannot go I said I want to do something too so I am going again in July.

That'll make 3 times in a one year period. I can't wait!

I do not think it will be too much. Going in July will be a really laid back trip and we do not expect to go on everything due to the heat and crowds, but we'll be there and thats half the fun!

The most I ever have gone was in '01, 4 WDW's and 2 DL's. It was not too much and wish I could continue that pace. Enjoy it if and while you can. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

We just got back form our 4th trip since July 2003, and we're not sick of it yet!!! I'd go back again in August or September if we already didn't have a few other travel plans(some business, some pleasure) that we had to do.

The more often you go, the more relaxing it becomes. You don't feel like you have to "commando" tour, you spend more time enjoying the "little things"...the "ambience" of each park, the pool at your resort, sitting on your balcony with a soda watching the animals that are on every resort property. One of my favorite things from this last trip was sitting out on the balcony at the BCV watching a duck family(mother and 8 babies) make their way across the pool area by waddling to the pool, jumping in, swimming across, jumping back out, and waddling into the tall grass planted around the pool. They did that every day at about 8AM and 530PM, and if we were in the room during those times, I was out on the balcony. I think that you get into the frame of mind "well, if I don't see it this time, I saw it last time or I'll see it next time".

I'd do Disney. Based on your OP, you guys maybe didn't enjoy your last trip quite as much as you should have. Make a better memory with this one!

We went last May, last October, last December, I went in January, going in 9 days and will go this Fall also if all goes well. We have APs to so I want my monies worth. LOL

Is it ever too much? Sometimes when we get home from a trip we feel a"Disneyied" out. But let a little time go by and we're ready to go back.

My parents went in Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, & Feb. They are also going next week with me.

Nope, never too much Disney is you are one of the *chosen* who 'gets' it and its magic!!

(Well, if you aren't able to pay your bills and eat, then that would be too much Disney.)

I have only averaged 2 trips a year and trust me, I wish I could do more!!!! This year I will have 2 WDW trips and 1 DL trip and that still isn't enough for me ;)

I agree with Disney Doll, after going so many times in a year I am more relaxed on my vacation. I go to the parks eveyr day but I am now more liable to take a break and not rush so much and not worry if I "miss" a certain ride. Makes it even more magical to walk around and just soak it all in I think :)

Our June trip will be our 3rd within one year. We went last Oct--6 days, then the boys and I went in Dec for 4 days and now we are going for 2 weeks in June. Im also hoping to get back in Dec. I love that time of year.

I consider 3 trips to WDW a year to be an absolute minimum. I like to spend at least one month each year at the Happiest Place on Earth.

We're heading back next week for our 4th trip in 17 months -- 12/02, 10/03, 3/04 & 5/04.

Although I'm excited to be going again next week, I don't feel as uptight & in commando mode as I have in the past. Going so often has been much more relaxing.

My kids would tell you weekly isn't enough for them. :earseek: :teeth:

And, I'm certain I will get very little sleep next Saturday night in anticipation of leaving early Sunday. :hyper:

Well, we were there last weekend and we are planning to go next weekend so my answer to how many times is too many is - If you're managing to go MORE than 52 weeks a year, you are then going too much!

JESW, I've been reading your posts, and I think you need this trip:D Sounds like it would be nice to get away , and with the price of gas you would probably spend almost the same on day trips, especially if you already have your APs:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Just went in April. GIve my eye teeth to go again :)
I don't think it would ever be too much for me.

We go at least 3 times a year now. We would go 4-5 times a year when DD was younger. Now that she's in college, she comes with us for one week in January each year. None of us has outgrown or grown tired of it yet. :)

One year we went 3 times, we bought aps because we knew dh had to come to fl a few times to help out his friends. I think the ds were getting a little tired of it. Worse off at the Poly the CM greeted our oldest ds by name. Gee. Think she was trying to tell us something. Yes, we are at the Poly Again!! It would probably have been better if it was spread out more. I know it was feb, august and I cant remember the other time, maybe june.

This school year we have gone many times October,November,December,January,dd & dh Last of Feb/first of March,April and May!!!! Some of those trips were to Universal only and some included Sea World,Universal and WDW.

I don't think you can go too many times as long as you all enjoy it.We always do different stuff each time we go.

This Friday May 21, 2004 early dismissal last day of school 11:00am, headed to WDW @ 11:01am.

I'm not sure how many times I have been in one year, not fare to compare as I live so close we sometimes just go for a long week-end.

Like mum4jenn I live in the next adjacent state so it's not that big a deal to get up and go. Last year we went 6 times but this year, since I started a new job, I don't think we'll go more than once.

We used to worry about this too. We've been going 3 times a year for the past 2 years. I was worried about burning out OR having it become less special for my kids. We've come to realize that's practically imposiible. In all of our trips we've never had anything less than a fantastic time.

If you have the chance to go and you can do it without financial strain, then go for it!!

Jess
