I'm not sure I understand this whole dining package deal for WOC?? I'm reading conflicting reports about even if you have reservations for dining package that it may still not guarantee you'll get preferred ticketing for the WOC show???? What is the purpose of a dining package then if there is no guarantee??? If you are going to have to struggle for seating with the rest of people not eating at Ariel's or the other place, then why even call it a dining package?? You don't get your tickets until you finish your meal....yet I hear if there are other people before you ordering off the WOC meal package, they could get tickets???? I'm so stinkin confused:confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3 Can someone please help me understand this whole WOC dining package deal? Thanks so much for your input :) I mean if you aren't guaranteed a preferred seating for the show, then why on earth would you book a dining package???? Confusing:scared1:

I talked to Disney Dining today and they confirmed that now it is FOR SURE that you will get WOC tickets if you purchase the package. The man I talked to said there have been so many complaints that they are guaranteeing the tickets only for those who have reserved the dining packages in advance.

He did mention that they would possibly take walk-ups for the packages ONLY if someone didn't show up for their reservation or if there was a last minute cancellation, but he didn't foresee that happening much this summer.

The times are a little different from when they were first announced as well.

We were all confused by the ticket thing too.
But it seems that it is now confirmed by people who talked to CMs that the tickets are now guaranteed because Disney received a bunch of complaints.

edit: ^what Lissame said :)

The title of this thread made me :rotfl: You are not alone. Until the first diners expierence the package we are all confused. There is too much conflicting info out there.

I agree about being confused. I am so anxious to see how this is going to work.

We're not going until the beginning of July, so hopefully they will have worked out the major kinks by then.

so to do this dinning package- for a family of 5- it will cost around $200 for a dinner and show.. and for the F! show and desert- at $60 a person ( Ithink thats what I read) it would be $300. OMG so thats about $500 to do this the entertaining way! LOL only Disney would think of this to rank in the bucks! :rotfl:

If you have a Disney Rewards Visa you can get 10% off your meal at WCT. We got a card in April for this trip & our offer had $200 Rewards :thumbsup2after the first use (i've seen offers out there for $40-$150, but our mailer was $200) -- so we are using that to defray the cost of the WOC/WCT dinner. ;)

Well..........as soon as I seen it announced that they were turning the World of Color into a dining package deal...........I immediately called today and booked for our upcoming June trip. 6:10 reservation we have for the 9pm show. When I made reservations I was told that it would be a set meal for everyone including appetizer.......entree & dessert and then the tickets would come at the end of the meal. I wasn't told that it wasn't guaranteed or anything. I only found that out coming and reading the thread on here and it got me worried but I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed. I had called back later today and spoke with another CM but he wasn't clear enough and had me left still confused......I"m going to call later this week and double check everything to make sure everything is a go! I just can't see someone offering a dining package for an event and then not delivering for the event. Wouldn't make any sense at all and would kind of tick people off and wouldn't benefit them in the longrun because people wouldn't book anymore. Wish me luck:thumbsup2 We chose Ariel's Grotto..............Daughter and I have a princess lunch schedule during our trip too, just mother/daughter :lovestruc Thanks for all the responses so far. I appreciate the feedback:woohoo:

I was pretty confused, too, and I read the thread the first day and immed. called to make a reservation. At that time, they said they couldn't guarantee anything re: WOC tickets with the package. Then I got a call saying they changed the time of my ressie and at that time, when I asked the CM, she said they NOW guaranteed you'll get WOC tickets if you book the dining package. She said how it works is that you'll show up to your ressie, dine, and after you pay you'll get your WOC tickets. She's not sure how early they'll let you line up for the show, but she said it's likely preferred standing only. ;)

The CM I talked to told us to be at the reserved viewing place at 9:45, 30 minutes before the 10:15 show.

Thanks for the info! I wasn't happy that they keep changing my ressie, but was glad they decided to guarantee the tickets. I guess at that time the cm didn't have the info.

Now that it's become clear from the more recent posters that Disney is guaranteeing a ticket for those with a package, I wouldn't worry. That's really the important thing.

I figure that as long as I have a reservation, and therefore I know we won't have to get a headache over trying to sort out WOC viewing in the am, I'm not worried if they call to change us by 20 minutes, or if they've decided to seat us inside or out (although we did already set up for inside seating.)

It's naturally going to be chaotic as Disney decides exactly how to work the dining. But as long as you made a reservation, they will get you sorted out one way or the other. So, it'll all work out in the end. I'm just glad they didn't wait to do seating until October, or something.

Has anyone had trouble getting PSs? To look at this and other forums you would think it everyone wants one but I realize there are many people out there who don't know about it. Our window to make PSs opens up next week and was wondering how "rushed" I had to be about it.

I think we will give AG a try. Having two teen boys, we've never been in there and I think we they will feel safe if I promise no princesses will appear. :rotfl: Anyway, this may be my only chance to see inside. If there is a choice which is better, inside or out?

I had no trouble on Thursday, and then when I had to move my reservation on Sunday since they hadn't actually booked me for WoC seating :headache: I also had no problem. It's a party of 3 though. Right now, no one knows how good the "seating" will be, plus now it's probably standing. A lot of locals on the other board seem to think the price is ridiculously steep to see the show, but it remains to be seen just how valuable the Fastpasses really are. IF it turns out that you really can't see the show without being in Paradise Park, and IF the crowds to get into said park are insane, then the dining packages may be more valuable. (If the dining packages actually gave you an unobstructed SEAT that was better than the views in Paradise Park, then I'd say it would be a crazy-good deal, but it looks like that is not the case.)

Really, I don't think you'll have too much trouble, though, especially if there's still nothing official on the Disney website about it....

People have mixed thoughts on Ariel's Grotto--I get hot outside so I think inside would be better. For photos outside is usually better, but that won't be an issue for you. :)

I certainly find the mixed messages from CM's very confusing. I am hopeful and confident that Disney will work the details out by the time we go on June 13th.

That being said, I will be closely watching the boards on June 11th and 12th to see what people's experiences are like. If it's a total nightmare, we'll probably cancel ours and save WOC for the next trip. I will definitely post our experience with it for the benefit of others as well.

When I called this morning the CM told me it didn't matter if I went for the late or early show that I would get my tickets no matter what.

I phoned and they assured me there would be guaranteed spots. I don't think he said anything as to if it would be standing or seating; I'm assuming standing now.

Thanks. I assume it will be standing too. That's ok. It would just be nice not to have to rush in the morning and probably stand in a long line and hope to get tickets. Guess we'll go for inside eating then. We have four, so not a large group.

There must be a certain number of WOC food/show packages they are able to offer. Are they still accepting PS for WCT for those not wanting the package?:confused3

I am not sure, but I would assume so--I got a reservation for WoC seating, and they evidently didn't note that so on Sunday when I called, they said I just had a regular reservation. :headache:
