Anaheim is moderately expensive. Not as much as San Fran but more than Oakland.

Edit : It's been a long time since I was in California so my information might be a little outdated. Disneyland is near Anaheim, so there's a plus.

Hmm, I'd probably live there when I'm older. As a travel agent, a hairdresser or something like that. I'm not sure doing what, but there are plenty of oppurtunities out west.

California. I never want to live there. I personally prefer the East coast.

I personally would like to TRAVEL there, but I don't know if I'd wanna live there.

I want to act as a profession, but there are lots of opportunities where I live (toronto) maybe someday if I hit the big-time I'll move to California.

Well I'm in the same boat as you!
Except that its my choice. I'll probably be moving out there in July/August. I'm not fimilar with Anaheim. But I will be in Northern Cal (Lake Tahoe). Up there its more "wilderness". I'd have to agree with a lot of people though, I wouldn't want to live in the Southern/LA/San Diego area.
Taxes are crazy. But you won't have to worry about them-your parents will.
Sales tax I believe is 7.25% so things will automatically be more expensive.
For example a $15 T-shirt would cost you
California=$16.08
Illinois=$15.93

And no snow down there!
