Well, we're Disney Fanantics --- DVC Members, AP, et al..... Planning a trip in Feb 2004 and my DH says "You've always wanted to go on a Cruise -- What about a Disney Cruise? .... Do you think we would enjoy it?" We're on either side of 50 --- Both of us love WDW -- It's our escape - you know --- Thinking of 3 day cruise after 4 days at BCV in Feb 2004 --- Should we take the plunge??????? Well???????????????

We took our first cruise ever--on the Disney Magic--back in 1999. Since then, we have done the 7-night as often as we can swing it. We are in the age 50-ish range. We have gone alone and we have also cruised with friends. My husband would much rather spend our vacations on the Magic rather than at WDW. It is a truly wonderful way to spend a week. It can be as relaxing as you like, or you can keep busy with activities from morning till night. You can do as many excursions as you can afford, or you can do none. My favorite times on the ship are when almost everyone else is off on excursions.

I'm sure you'll hear from many more of us who really love the Disney Cruise experience.

We took our first cruise ever on the 4 night Wonder this last January and my better half (DH) is over 50 and we loved it. We booked a 7 night Eastern Cruise while on board. We did things l haven't done since we had the kids. It made me feel young again. You and your spouse will love the cruise. My opinion pick the 4 night cruise due to 3 nights isn't long enough.

Oh heck yes!

Always thought we could never afford it until I finally checked into it ... figured it wasn't our cup of tea. But we loved it!

I'd say definitely do try it if you love WDW.

Got for it! One word of advice. Consider doing 3 days at BCV and doing a 4 day cruise. Our first cruise was 4 days at Disney and the 3 day cruise and it was just too short. By the time we got to know our way around the ship it was time to leave. If you can get one of the cruises where the 4th day is at Sea instead of in Freeport even better to give you the cruise experience.

We've traveled with my in-laws 3 times who are 50+ and they've had a great time!

Absolutely take the cruise. You'll both love it! We, both well on the "other" side of 50, will be taking our 4th cruise on the Wonder in Sept.

The only complaint you'll have is that it ended too soon. You might wish to consider the 4-night to make it last a little longer. That one, too, will go by very quickly.

Bon Voyage.

Thats because you had "fabulous" dining mates, Paul! So glad it became your "cup of tea" because you and Kaye are a fabulous couple to cruise with!!!
Glad to have another cruise with you in October!!!

It's amazing how we don't think we can afford the cruise but when you figure in the cost of entertainment, food and amount of time going to and from these places - the cruise makes a lot of financial "cents"!

As a person who repeatedly said "I will never cruise!", I am sure eating my words now repeatedly!!!!

It's worth a shot! At least if you decide after the three days that's it's not for you (or your husband) that you didn't spend all that money for a 4-day or 7-day! Go for it!

In fact, I've 'tried' to plan WDW-only vacations only to have my husband bug the heck out of me to attach a 4-day onto it! Of course, I don't complain because I win either way. We both love Disney cruises and now can't imagine going to the parks WITHOUT heading to Port Canaveral!

Don't 'cha just love those "win-win" situations!!!!! I don't think either DH, DS or DM would ever consider a non-cruise vacation!

We are all SO spoiled!!!

If you've never cruised before and can swing it, by all means try it.
I plan to go everywhere I dream about when I can afford it.
You dont want to be older and sitting around saying i wish we'd tried the cruise.

What a great attitude!
No one ever said, "I wish I spent more time at my job!" on their deathbed - do it all, and remember life is not a dress rehearsal!
