We will be closing on a bcv contract late this month and we were originally going to book our first dvc vacation for May 2012. My dd will be in 11th grade and can't miss a ton of school, so now we are thinking we will try for the first week in April 2012. I know this is a super popular time since its spring break for most, anyone think that I may be able to get a 2br still at 10 mos out for April? We're such newbies!

I'm quite sure you will be able to get a 2 bedroom at BCV at 10 months out, even if it is for the week before Easter.

The dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom may be gone, though. If so, you can waitlist for one of those if it's important to you.

I think there will still be dedicated 2 bedrooms with 1 queen and 1 queen sleep sofa in the second bedroom left at 10 months out and there should also be 2 bedroom lock offs available at that point.

Different time of year, but the week before Thanksgiving (November seems to be pretty popular) I was able to get a room at BCV at 6.5 months. 2 BR dedicated with 1 queen/1 sleeper for 4 nights, 2 bedroom with 2 queens for the last night (and we are waitlisted to stay in the same room all 5 nights).

You should have little problem.

Thanks for the info! We'll find out for sure in a few weeks! And I think it will take at least a week after our resale contract closes to show up in the dvc membership database, right? I will just call and be a stalker!
