soon at our 7 month window

time to book, question, should I call and book day by day or should I wait until the 7 month from the last day of the trip. Thanks for your help, I am a new DVCer and will get the hang of it soon.

I would definitely call & book day by day.

That's what we have always done & we've never had any problem getting what we want (BCV or AKV) at 7 months out.

I'd wait until the 7 months after my check-out date rather than spending my time and MS time dealing making a call each day.

I'm going to try to switch my early december reservation at 7 months. I only want to call once, so I'm going to try on my checkout day. I don't have any special, uniqure plans such as GV, or Concierge, etc. I have 3 different resorts I'd be happy to switch to.

If I don't get something, I'll be very disappointed. For a plain jane reservation, if I ever feel compelled to call day by day, I doubt DVC will be in my long term future, that is just too much work and stress.

If one of your choices is OKW, well, then I would wait until the end. For that time of the year, early December, for any of the other resorts, and if you want a 4+ night stay, I would call day by day. Many of the other DVC members will be calling day by day, and I think you may find yourself on a waitlist for a night by waiting. If you want a 1 bedroom, well, that could make the whole stay more likely with the one call. It's just my opinion, and if you already have your home resort booked, well fine. I would call day by day if I really wanted something other than what I have.

I am starting Sunday to call day by day for a 11 night trip! Yes, that is 11 mornings calling MS but I have done it before and it takes about 15 minutes. Not long out of my day to see if I can get a one bedroom at BCV. I am thinking good thoughts!!
