Sony Dsch9??

Anyone know if this is a good camera..likes/dislikes? I found it on clearance from $429.00 to $290. Was going to get the Panasonic TZ4 for $200 (P&S)..but now think I should research the sony...looks like a lot more camera but I don't know all that much. thanks!

I have a DSC-H5 and just bought the DSC-H50. I love the H5 it takes great pictures. The H-9 is a slightly newer model but basically the same camera. The only drawback to Sony is that they take a pro duo memory card unlike other cameras that can interchange the memory cards. I upgraded to the H50 because it has some newer features that I am interested in. I used the H-5 in Disney 2 years ago and got some awesome shots with it. I would check out the sony but would definitely recommend them.

I bought the H7 last summer which is basically the H9 minus the night shot and the tiltable viewer. We loved it, I just wish it was smaller, I'm always worrying I'm going to hit something and break it.

I have played with many of the features and most work great. The only problem I had recently was with my daughters Dance recital. The lighting was really, really bad and I was middle way back in the auditorium. Can't blame it all on the camera though. I shot a few pictures at a dance competition (in my gallery) and they turned out much better.

I also like the fact that you can add a few lenses to this one for an even better picture. Plus I believe last year it was named as a Consumer Reports Best Buy product.
