Sony DSC-T300 Tell me about my camera...
My DH got me this camera for Mothers Day and I am very excited:cool1: ! I don't know anything about it yet and want to make sure it is everything I need.
My biggest complaint with my old digital camera was the out of focus pix from people moving. I also need something compact. Plus, I would like to be able to zoom in a bit.
This camera says it knows when people smile:confused3 . Please tell me what you think of this camera. I would love to hear the DIS opinion (the one I really value:thumbsup2 ).

Are your guys cameras all 100 times better than this one so you guys don't have this particular camera?? I was afraid of that. You guys are all so good!!!
Should I post this question over at the Community board?
I would hate to keep it and then find out everyone hates it who has it.

I don't think it's a :snooty: issue. Many skill levels, types of cameras and brands are represented here.

It's just that maybe nobody has this particular camera, I don't know. Have you tried doing a Search? There is a Sony users thread here, maybe they'll have some information for you.

You could always try the CB. Maybe given a bigger crowd, you might find some users.

If you have any other general photography questions, we're always happy to help - if we can.

I know...that's why I came here first. You guys have always been so helpful and nice so I was hoping to get some answers here before I ventured out into the Community Board jungle!:scared1:

I don't have this Sony camera, mine is another Sony p&s model. I did find a couple of links for you though. Hope this helps you out.

and here is a review on the t200 model. I guess this is just a step below yours

Please note that these reviews are helpful, but being critics I think they overthink things a bit much. Just get out the camera and have some fun. So far I have found many helpful hints on here that you wouldn't see elsewhere, esp. in relation to helping get great Disney pictures. Try out all the different buttons and get used to the camera so when you need it for the important pictures you will be familiar with the camera.

Good luck, Melissa

Thank you! I will definitely check those links out when I have time later.
My shooting style... hmmmmmm... I love taking candids, scenery, all things Disney, my kids are little so they are always moving so I guess I take action shots...
I would love a a fancier camera but at this point in life I still need to be able to throw it in my purse and bag easily.

I used to post on the POTD thread a lot. Would love to do that more.
I don't know. I guess I am a Mom who wants to capture the magic the best I can.

I am afraid that this camera will have like a billion features that I never learn how to use completely. I guess that's why I am looking for private lessons from a diser!

Thanks for your time guys!!!!

Just bumping to say I am still learning but I love this camera!!!!!!!!!!!!
