Sony Cybershot DSC-H50 help!!!

I just got my camera, and I chose it because I wasn't ready for an SLR yet. Maybe one day. But it has so many settings that I don't know how to use. Such as Manual, Aperature and Shutter speed shot. Does anyone have this camera? Or does anyone know how to program to take fireworks, or focus on something to leave something blurry in the background? Or even a webiste?
We have a December trip planned, and I want to take advantage of my camera at my happy place!

I bought the H-50 the day it was released so I have had it for over a year now. I used mostly auto settings because I forgot how to switch the settings on my last trip. For fireworks go to the scene setting on the dial, hit menu and then go through the different scenes to find fireworks. The macro setting does a good job also. Play around with the camera. I also like the infrared feature but the shots are B&W. To give you an idea of pictures here is one from Universe of Energy

Well, you have enlightened me. Out of curiosity, what kind of bag do you use for this camera?

I have a Quantary bag. I don't know what the model number is but it carries my H-50, Alpha 300, 2 lenses and my mini-cam. I also fit all my chargers and spare batteries in it. When it is just the H50 I put it in my backpack. I really love this camera and its capabilities.
