Sony Bloggie Touch MP4 HD Camcorder

Does anyone own this who would be able to give me some opinions?

I'm probably one of the only people left on the planet without an Iphone or really cool phone so I'm looking into getting one of these. I'm not very tech savvy but just need something with better quality than my phone for video.

Any information would be appreciated.

We bought my 12 year old duaghter one for her birthday. It seemed like a good camera for her to shoot random videos of her and her friends. I kijed the 4gb memory built in but didn't realize the drawbacks of not actually having a memory card.

sorry I posted before I finished.
A few months ago she needed to make a film for a project so we really just started to use it. I guess I was expecting to be able to make movies from different files and then make them into one movie. The biggest failure was that Windows Media Player is not compilatible with the Bloggie Software. When we tried to use the Sony software it wouldn't let her combine files.
Long story short she had to hand in her camera for her teacher to watch the various scenes to her movie.
If you want to make short temporary vidoes to watch on the camera ir might be ok but if you are wanting to make movies or take videos of children I would get a normal camcorder.

Thanks for the info.

I wanna be able to take video of the girls. Not overly concerned with making films, but would want a memory card slot.

Hopefully I will find something before our trip.
