How long has Sonny Eclipse been in Cosmic Ray's??? I've been in Cosmic Ray's many, many times, but I just saw Sonny for the first time last week. We had grabbed iced coffees one night, and just happened to go into that dining room to sit and relax. I thought he was hilarious! I embarrassed my children to no end, singing those corny songs. I even had to go see him a second time before we left! :lmao:

I believe he's been there since 1994, when the "New" Tomorrowland was rolled out.

Edited to add:

I seemed to remember that there was something there before Sunny, and it looks like I was right. Back in the days when it was called the Tomorrowland Terrace, the restaurant used to have a live performer named Michael Iceberg.

When we told our daughter we were going back to Disney, the first thing she asked for was Sonny Eclipse! :rotfl:

We HAVE to eat at Cosmic Ray's just so we can see Sonny. I listen to Live365.com and hear him all that time. Takes me back for a little 30 minute vacation.

1) Prior to "Ray", it was live performers.
2) Ray is actually a duplicte of Officer Zzyxx from Disney Tokyo.
3) Except at WDW, he is a lounge singer from Yew Nork on Planet Zork.
4) His invisible backsinger trio is the Space Angels.

I LOVE Sonny Eclipse! :lovestruc

DH thought I was insane because I had to sit and watch him during out last trip.

I look forward to hearing Sonny sing Bright Little Star at least once each visit.

I believe you're confusing Ray with Sonny. Sonny is the lounge singer, Ray is the owner. I don't think we ever see Ray.

I can't believe that Sonny has been there through all my visits, and I've just missed him! He's a must-see in the future.

If you go sometimes Sunny takes a break and goes up stairs (is raised) and live bands come from under the ground and perform. I have been and seen this a couple of times in june for the Disney Summer Bands Program.

You got to see Sunny.........

Michael Iceberg's show was fantastic. Sonny is ok, but Michael was hilarious and played great synthesizer music.
