What style of music do you write for? (rock, pop..etc)
Where do u get inspiration to write your songs?
And how do u go about writing your songs?

I've written for metal and rock bands.
I get inspiration from things I see, and what I feel.
I go about writing songs the same way you went about typing this thread. I just write whatever is in my head, but I write it in a lyrical format.

I think in lyrics/rhyme. It makes songwriting/poetry come to me naturally.

What style of music do you write for? (rock, pop..etc) I've written theatre/musical stuff but I write for other styles too.

Where do you get inspiration to write your songs? Anywhere. See that tree over there? INSPIRATION! See that cloud? INSPIRATION!

And how do you go about writing your songs? I carry a small notebook with me everywhere so I can write an idea down if anything strikes me.

i write songs when i'm out of insperation for stories. i wrote a rock song called "you don't know me" and it is pretty good but i just have to find a band that would want to sing it... lol...

So do any of you write songs? I write lyrics. And sometimes I write little ditties on the piano but i've never put the two together.
