Songs vanished out of itunes????

DD opened up itunes today and it's empty

Completely empty! She had songs she downloaded from the itunes music store, songs she put in off CD's and songs that she had from other sources(if you know what I mean).

Anyway, she says she did not delete her entire itunes...and she's the only one that uses itunes. Nobody else in the house even has an ipod.

Has anybody ever had this happen? What could have caused it? How can we retrieve these songs?

Not sure what caused it but try this:

Go into My Documents
Go into My Music
Check to see if there is an Itunes folder(this is the folder that Itunes actually uses to store your songs)

If its there open it up and see if your songs are in there.
If they are you might just have import them back in.

DH had already tried this with no luck.

He did, however, find her music.....It was in with her pictures somehow Don't know how that happened but she is frequently uploading pics from her camera so she must have dragged and dropped something in the wrong place.

Anyway, problem solved!

Check your Itunes preferences. See where its set up to store the songs.
