Beware ! Anyone with reservations with Song or Delta . I saw something on these boards last week about Delta and decided to check our itinerary on their website . Well lets just say that what they had as our itinerary was not what we had booked , different flight times and flight numbers , and these did not match with their listed flight schedule either ! After calling them I was able to straighten our schedule out but not without having to move up our departure time by an hour and a half and our return flight by an hour . CHECK YOUR ITINERARIES NOW IF YOU HAVE RESERVATIONS WITH SONG OR DELTA FOR THE NEXT 2 OR 3 MONTHS SO YOU CAN SALVAGE AS MUCH OF YOUR SCHEDULE AS POSSIBLE !
GOOD LUCK TO ALL !

I agree. I booked Delta Song for next April & they've already changed our flight time to go down & a totaly diff. flight # to return also with a later time coming
home.

Yep, that's why I won't fly Song anymore. Last year they changed our flight to Miami and didn't notify us. They could not give us a comparable flight and wanted us to fly out on a completely different day, which was a problem since we were going down for a cruise.

They were really nasty about it and refused to book us on another carrier, and told us that we could fly into Orlando or West Palm Beach instead and rent a car on our own dime, which in my opinion, are *not* equivalent itineraries. I had to threaten to dispute the transaction with the credit card company and then they finally backed down and refunded the tickets.

Never again.

Yes, Song is on its way out. I'm sad because I liked them alot. Fortunately we now have JetBlue flying out of Newark - they are great!

I would love it JetBlue flew out of CLE. We have Southwest and if you have to fly over 500 miles, you will probably have a layover and or plane change. Sometimes the price is right though to deal with the hassles of SWA. A couple of years ago we flew CLE-MCO via MDW for $79 pp rt.

We flew down on Delta in July and had the worst experience. They changed, delayed and cancelled our flight. On our flight out our itinerary changed 2 times. On our return flight, it was delayed then cancelled (but I already switched to a different flight) and then delayed again at our connection :confused3 :confused3 It was a 13 hour day to fly from Miami to Chicago.

I have a flight booked for next september and so far theres no change yet
on the itinerary. I hope it does not change. Its the same flight schedule i received when i booked the disney package for last months vacation. I did remember Song changed the flight time back to Boston but that was not a problem for me. Matter of fact, its the same time leaving Mco for next september.

This is so sad! I love Song. The seats are comfy, and I am usually the plane champion on the trivia game! Darn...

I checked my itinerary just now and there was a change for the December trip, but it was just 30 minutes later coming home. That's 30 minutes longer in Disney!

Actually you should continually check the flights on all airlines, they all change times and flight numbers and will cancel flights and put you on others. AA cancelled my return flight on Saturday several months ago and tried to put me on an earlier flight home. I managed to get switched to a Sunday morning flight without having to pay more for it which gave me a full day in Disney instead of just part of a day. Since then my flight going down has been continually getting later and is now scheduled to leave about 45 minutes after it was originally scheduled to and the flight number has changed and my return flight time has been pushed back also.

Thanks for the info, I have never flown and would have never known to check this. I just checked and my iteneraries have been changed as well. I also checked tickets thru the regular purchase option and they are now $50 cheaper. As it is now on this flight we will not get to our hotel until 9-10 pm our first night. Does anyone know if I can cancel my flight and get a refund or change it without a huge penalty b/c of the changes delta made?

Song changed our flight, from an 8pm to a 2:30 pm..and never notified us. This was in 7/05 for a 9/7/05 flight. And to make it worse, for some reason they charge me the 5.00 telephone charge that they do for reticketing over the phone..they didn't charge DH who was using miles or my DS who was on the same reservation as I was. I have yet to get my 5.00 back....several phone calls later!! I have been told it can take several billing cycles to show up on my statement. It didn't take several months for them to take the 5.00 from me...so why should it be several months to give it back to me UGH!!!

I have been watching my flights closely too. I'm not bothered by it though, I bought the flights so cheap that as long as I am flying on the same days I don't care if it is a different time.

I did change my flights after I made the reservation and it wasn't too expensive. I changed it so I was flying out of Hartford rather than Boston and it only cost $26. The Hartford flight was cheaper than the Boston one so I only paid a $6.50 per person penalty. There is an option on the website for 'change my flight', if you go through with that it tells you what it would cost.

Also, for anyone watching their iteneraries online--when they have changed my flight they still listed all the flights I was once booked on and it was confusing to read. I was also worried because it didn't list seat numbers and I am flying with young kids and didn't want to be separated. I called the number on the website and the woman was very nice and 'cleaned' up my itenerary page so it was easier to read. She also assured me that we were assigned to seats altogether. Sure enough, the next time I checked the website it was much clearer and our seat numbers were listed.

Delta/Song is notorious for not letting people know when there are changes. But, I have gotten such good fares that I have put up with it. I learned several years ago to check my flights at least once a week as I get to the 4 month mark and then daily. I wouldn't worry about there being no Song. Delta is retrofitting most of their planes to mimic the Song seats and entertainment via the individual t.v. screens. Then, they will add first class seating to the old Song planes. Hopefully, they will still offer some decent fares. Otherwise, it may look like JetBlue is getting some new customers....me included!

Allegiant Air cancelled flights for our December for 12 people & did not inform us either. I heard it on the news. We called our credit card company & disputed the bill, got our money back & booked Air Tran. We are paying a bit more but we are confident that we will have a great flight!

Can I say 4 1/2 more weeks!!!!!!!!! :maleficen

I am another one who had flights changed on SONG. We have tickets for next April and I got the new flight # for departure (20 minutes later) and I can see it on their site, but for the returning flight (another # and 20 minutes later) I can't find it on their site so I am concerned. I have sent a second e-mail to them. They answered the first one right away so I hope they answer that one quickly too.

I, for one, am sad to see SONG go. :( They were a great under 3-hour flight out of Boston to orlando with NO stops. I loved the tc screens and the food (to purchase) wasn't bad. I hope that Delta will keep SOME of the same things..

Just called Delta about the changes, and low and behold my flights have been changed again (within the lat 15 min), they are back to the original times and flight number, now. Hopefully it will stay the same. I am using Magical Express and am wondering how these changes will mess with this, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I'm pretty sure that you can omit calling Magical Express if your flight changes with too short notice, you don't have to use expensive pay phones or the Airfone (tm) in the plane or your cell phone from a geographic area where roaming charges apply. You would just show up at the ME welcoming area with your original ME materials.

I don't think an airline has the right to change your reservation when the original flights still exist.

Also if an airline does change your reservation, you should be able to pick and choose any other available flights you see with no added fees or fare increases.

Disney hints:

Are you sure that Delta is not keeping Song and throwing away most of Delta keeping just a few of the best parts of the latter such as the name? (And hopefully keeping most of the cities served?)
