Song and TV'S

Is there any way of finding out ahead of time if your flight will have the televisions on them or not. I thought they were all supposed to be in by last October or something but when reading others posts it doesn't sound like it.

Took Song flights on 1/15 and 1/20; neither plane had TVs. Apparently there has been a delay. Part of it may be that as Delta converts an increasing number of its regular flights over to Song, additional planes get the new paint job and need to be retrofitted to accommodate the TVs.

According to Song's website (www.flysong.com):

By early 2004, every seat on Song flights will be decked out with a personal video monitor so you can:

watch all-digital satellite TV from DISH Network
create a playlist of digitally-streamed MP3s.
watch pay-per-view programming on demand, there's something for all ages.
play multi-player interactive games with other passengers.
find points of interest along your trip with iXplor, a zoomable video map.
get gate information for connecting flights.

We flew 12/22 & 1/2 . All 3 planes did not have TV. I say 3 planes , because we took a bump to a later flight after we had boarded the plane. At 250 per person X 4 it was to good to pass up. The next flight left 2 hours later,

I flew from Boston on 1/15, and the plane had TV's; no network channels, just cables (A&E, cartoon network, etc.); they had a music trivia game, buit no pay per view, video map, or gate information.
The flight back on 1/19 didn't have TV's at all.

vellamint, when is your trip?

All song aircraft should have TVs by the end of March. Additional content - movies on demand, customisable music playlists, etc. - should be available in the second quarter.
