Somewhere to eat in AK

Gonna spend a day at AK. Where is somewhere good to sit down and eat for a late lunch/dinner?

I don't know anything about the table-service restaurants there (as in full-service) but for a counter service place, I'd have to recommend Flame Tree BBQ! Tusker House also gets great reviews.

I would definitely recommend Yak and Yeti. We love the AK and always spend the whole day there so this is a great place to rest and relax. A million times better than Rainforest which I believe is the only othe TS restaurant in AK.

We also start the day at the Royal Anandpur Tea company. Great tea.

Tusker House is a buffet TS that serves b'fast (a character meal), lunch, and dinner. Yummy, and a large, air conditioned venue right in the middle of the African village on your way to Kilimanjaro Safari.

Flame tree is my favorite part of AK. I admit it, I don't love the park (Sorry if I offended anyone!) II like it, i's just that I have done it all several times and would rather be in MK. But, my kids love the rides, EE, Dinosaur, etc. So, I go, and I have fun watching them have fun, and I do enjoy it, just not as much as the others. But one of my favorites it Flame Tree. The food is great, the setting is beautiful, I just love it there.

I dont remember seeing any restaurants when we were there last... it was 100 degrees, and that was all I focused on LOL. So I appreciate all the help.

Who are the characters at Tusker House? Are all these ADRs?

I was not so big on Flame tree. The old Tusker used to be my favorite, so I 'm hoping I'll like the new one. I was not thrilled by Pizzafari either, but for QS I like it better than Flame Tree. I also haven't tried Yak and Yeti. DH liked it. DS thought the menu options were too heavy for lunch time. They also went over to Pizzafari. Pizzafari is colorful and cheery, it's just the pizza is nothing great.

It is TS, it is buffet. I think it's only characters for breakfast; Donald among them. Otherwise I've heard it's a little like Boma.

I LOVE Flametree BBQ. When I was a CP, one of my roomies worked there. Don't tell anyone, but she would occasionaly to sneak us ribs and chicken out for us.
