Sometimes it's the little things...what do you miss?

Over the years Disneyworld has changed and sometimes eliminated certain elements of their rides and attractions.

What things do you miss?


I miss hearing Walter Cronkite's clear voice narrating Spaceship Earth...and I miss the music that was in that ride at one point.

I miss the original song from The Land, Living With The Land.......such a catchy tune and I miss hearing it.

I miss the original ride at Imaginations......OHhhh how I miss that one.

I miss the little pods that meandered along in the Living Seas. IMHO that was a huge part of "getting there". LOL

Sometimes it's the little things that make or break an attraction for me. I miss a lot of those little things.

I miss the old poc it was alot better.
I wish everything didnt have to be PC.

The Sky Buckets you could ride from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland or the other way round.I like Winnie The Pooh ride but also miss MR.Toad,I miss the Swan Boats and even though I love the new Buzz ride I miss Delta Dream Flight.What I won't miss is Alien Encounter I just never thought this was something Walt would've put in WDW.

The Submarine Voyage, the World of Motion, Food Rocks, and even Horizons.

I have to second the "ride" part of the Living Seas. I miss that SO much. It just isn't the same.

I really miss Horizons too it was my favorite ride in Future World. I wish they could have updated it.

I loved Dream Flight...but I love Buzz more LOL.

Mostly I wish you could get a CD with the old ride music; the Dream Flight song, and If You Had Wings, and also Tomorrow's Child from SSE. It would be great too if they sold a cd of the music they used to play at the entrance to Epcot, it was so futuristic and "trekkie"

From the DL of my childhood I miss the original mine ride with the 'caverns of wonder"

I miss horizons

I miss Figment; the imagination song, the words which looked how they sound, and the wondrous playground as opposed to the sales arena

I miss the Kodak preshow in Shrunk the Kid

I miss Mr Toad

At WDW I miss POC the way DL does it

I miss the old Tiki room, when the tiki gods sang "heigh ho; heigh ho; it's out the door you go"

I miss the Electrical Light Parade

I miss the "America the Beautiful" in 360 vision (DL)

I miss the "atom shrinking" ride, which later became dreamflight, then buzz (and which they always closed for grad night)

I also miss the 'sky buckets' in MK - that was a nice short cut from one side of the park to the other.
I miss Figment and the original Imagination ride - they'll never match that.
I just hope they never give up on COP. It's hokey, but it's Walt's and should alway be a part of WDW!

I have a CD with some of the old ride music. It's called <u>The Music of Disneyland, Walt Disney World and EPCOT</u>. It is copyright 1988. It has Tomorrow's Child, Universe of Energy song, and the Figment song also. I don't know if it's still in print. I'll have to look closer to see what others it has. So, there is one available. I would check your library and see if they have it if you can't find it anywhere else. Good Luck!

It's not that old, but my entire family misses Tapestry of Nations. It was a wonderful parade with kid interaction and cool music. I'm so happy to have the CD.

We also miss the skyride.

I too, miss the old *Figment* and *Imaginations*! I can still sing the old theme song....

And i must agree somewhat with our children that the entire newer attraction is lame.......

Oh my word! How could I forget Tapestry?!?!

We miss it too. It was the highlight of most of our nights. We'd often go to Epcot in the evening to shop the countries and wait for that wonderful parade.

I'd have loved to have seen the Swan Boats oh so many years ago. Since I never did see them does it still count if I say I "miss" them?

P.S. I miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride & I'm mad that I never got to try the 20,000 Leagues ride. I came in 1977 and it was broken, so was Space Mountain. Then almost 15 years later, I came back in 1985 and it was broken again. I know this is weird, but when I was a little girl I loved the book and really wanted to ride the ride!

The forum that was in communicore where you gave your opinion on all kinds of Disney attractions.

The games in Communicore where you built the american flag and put suitcases on a plane

Some changes I think are for the better or at least equal, likeBuzz Lightyear, Winnie the Pooh, Ellens energy adventure, Mission Space (although I do feel nostalgia for Horizons), TT (ditto for World of Motion).

I really miss Tapestry. We'd stake out the spots where you could watch it twice, back to back.

I miss the old "If you had Wings" (is that what it was called?) where you could soar over things.

I miss powdered soap.

I miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

When I went as a little girl (7) there was a ride where you were watching some sort of movie screen as if you were in a speed boat and the wind was blowing hard. Does anyone know what that ride was?

Also, I liked the old Epcot fireworks program over the one that I saw at Epcot in 2002 (not sure if they still do it) - the flames are a little scary and the narration is a little too humanistic. It didn't seem very Disney to me, more like "look at every thing humanity has accomplished all by itself over the years."

I miss having my 14 yr old stomach that used to be able to handle rollercoasters without getting sick. I wonder which ride I left it on

RoLaren-the CD that I heart WDW writes about does have those great old ride songs, lots of them from when Epcot opened. I found my copy on ebay.

I miss Horizons & World of Motion the most. I really miss the great fireworks they had at MGM before Fantasmic.
