We're going to WDW from 3/5 - 3/14, a week we've done several times before. I know the historical rates for this week and in the past, we got the best rate about 3 months out from the date of departure. I've been watching all airlines in my neck of the woods and it seem they've changed their game. All of them offer very high rates from first posting until about 6 weeks out, then they start coming down. They clean up on those who bite early, afraid of being shut out, and 'get real' when they have seats to fill and little time to fill them. The fare from my local airport for 6 weeks from now is actually $10 less than we pain last year. I think I'll play a game of chicken with them also.
