My daughters first trip to Disney is coming up and she will be 14 mos when we go and I would like to do something to make it extra special for her. Im so excited about taking her I cant hardly wait. I was like this when I took my son for the first time too but he was 4 so it was a little easier coming up with cool stuff for him but where shes gonna be so young I cant seem to think of anything much. Can you help? :Pinkbounc

First time we took princess: DD she was 14 months. I remember she took a little while to get used to the characters. Towards the end of our holiday we did eat at CP and by that time she did interact with them and we really enjoyed that!!

How about getting her a cute little Disney outfit for the trip and take lots of pictures of her in it. Be sure to save it for when she gets older. My boys love looking at the baby things of theirs I saved. Maybe she'll want to keep it and put it on her own daughter for her first trip to WDW!

Just remember at this point she won't "understand" what you are doing is something special. For DD's first birthday we had breakfast at CRT. Our DD had no idea what was going on really, but Mommy did and it was a special time for me and we have pictures that we show her of her first birthday and first trip. The whole trip will be special because you are creating a memory for your family.

I know shes not gonna remember or understand but I was thinking for her age level there are some things she understands and I was thinking maybe one of those mylar balloons on main street and a mickey ice cream. I liked the outfit idea too.

I agree with McGraw fan. Rememebr there is so much stimulation that you really willl not have to go out of your way to add more. My DS LOVED those malar ballons at that age. Her first ice cream cone if she has not had one would be very special. I also like the idea of a special princess out fit as long as it is comfortable. That one is really for you but that is OK too. I would wit on the princess meal unless you want to do it then that is just fine too. Lots of little ones like the face characters better anyway!

Have fun.

I bought my DD 14 months a cute bracelet off of ebay! It is really, really cute and something that she can save! Also, I bought my DS4 a pillowcase (a red one) with a boy dressed like Mickey Mouse...with his name embroidered on it! Something that he can continue to carry with us on all trips and not leave it behind b/c its RED!

We took DD for the first time at 17 months. I love the pics of her with her personalized Mickey ears with the characters. She really had fun! Everyone acted like we were nuts for taking her so young but we had a blast!!!
