So its our first time to disney .. but its my daughyers birthday while we are thereand wanted to do do something extra special on her birrhday . But not sure what!!! Any ideas would be great

You can special order a cake and have it delivered to a restaurant or a hotel if you are onsite. More info is needed to get more ideas- age your dd is turning? Hotel you are staying at? How long do you have before your trip?

That would be nice my daughter will be turning 8 were staying at the caribbean beach resort for 2 weeks . More than likely was going to take her to MK .

how old wills he be? is she a girly girl or a tomboy? is she really into the princesses or not?

a little more info would be helpful

For my daughter's 5th birthday I did the Pick-a-Pearl in Epcot with her. We each picked one and got matching necklaces. (I had actually preordered Cinderella carriage cages from eBay before our trip.)

We will be there on my daughter's 5th bday in November and we made her a BBB reservation in the morning and then we will eat at CRT later that day.

I've ordered cakes at DL. Gotta give them 48 hours notice and call the dining line. Room celebrations? You can order for the day of, day before, or arrival day. You can go all out with room and pick princess theme or you can custom mine. Disney floral can help. Or get the princess tea at the GF. All depends on if she is princessy or tomboyish. Look up Disney floral though. I've done that for first visit, my sisters birthday, and various holiday celebrations.

* special cake or celebration package delivered at a meal or your room
* be sure to get a birthday button when you check in!
* arrange a special meal and/or show to go to on her birthday
* fun photo scavenger hunt with little gifts along the way -- pick a pearl in Japan, get a tiara at MK, hug from a princess, fight a sith lord at Jedi Training Academy, build her own light saber or droid at DHS, pick out a cake pop/cupcake/special treat, make a wish at Snow White's wishing well, watch a parade, catch a show, try a new food, find a hidden Mickey, have fun in the pool, pick a favorite souvenir, play SoMK and/or Agent P's World Showcase Adventure, color a Duffy in the World Showcase, meet a favorite character, get a magic shot, and so on. It could be a fun way to stretch out her birthday celebration during your stay. Maybe you keep some of the scavenger hunt ones with a special gift like the tiara or special treat to come out on her actual birthday.

Hi. We took our oldest for her 8th birthday, and we also went to MK. If she likes princesses and being made up, etc. I would definitely make her a reservation at the BBB in Cinderella's Castle! We usually bring our girls' favorite princess dresses from home and then they get all done up first thing in the morning and we go to CRT for breakfast! BBB gives them a sash to wear as well, and I think if they know it's her birthday, the sash actually says birthday princess! We're doing this in July for our daughters' birthdays. Make sure you get her a birthday celebration pin as well - you can get it at your hotel or at any of the parks. Any time she wears it, everyone will give her birthday wishes and make her feel special! Also, on occasion, different restaurants have been known to do special things for birthdays, such as give a special dessert cupcake and/or a birthday card from characters. If you make any dining reservations make sure to let them know you are celebrating your daughters' birthday. As previous posters have said, you could order a specialized cake ( a little expensive depending on what you want), or there are always "generic" cakes available if you ask when you check in to the restaurant. CRT also has Her Royal Highness package available (for like 100 and some odd dollars) which includes a balloon, a tiara and a princess cake of your choosing. Whatever you decide, have fun!

If you don't want to go the princess route, but still want to do something sweet, you can go to Fort Wilderness or POR for a carriage ride.

Other special things to do would be a balloon ride at Disney Springs, the CIrque de Soleil La Nouba show, and a behind the scenes tour at Epcot or MK.

And be sure to ask guest services at your hotel for some extra "pixie dust" for your room on her birthday. Also, you can get a birthday button from your hotel or from City Hall in MK

We, too, celebrated dd's 8th birthday at Disney while staying at CBR. We doesn't the day at MK, starting with a pre-park opening reservation at BBB. We also had an 11:30 ADR at CRT. I ordered the Her Royal Highness package, which they allow you to modify. We did the balloon, chocolate slipper dessert, and engraved glass slipper. The only problem is I am sure no birthday will ever compare to her 8th.
