My daughter's 6th birthday is in November, but we plan to celebrate her birthday at WDW. What are some special things we can do/request for the birthday girl at WDW? What special things have any of you done for your kids' birthdays at WDW?

Get her a birthday button from Guest Relations at each park. There is no guarantee, but it sometimes get a little extra pixie dust.

I recently took my DD to MK for lunch. It was her 18th birthday. I got her a birthday badge. The hostess at the restaurant saw it when we checked in. When we got to our table, it was sprinkled with confetti. At the end of our lunch, the hostess brought out a cupcake with a candle and had all the folks in the restaurant sing to DD. It was very nice.

We went all out for our DD bday on our last trip. This was the first time we were actually there on her bday so we pulled out all the stops for her. We had several bday meals were they bring out a cake (or cupcake) and sing and dance for you. I also had a special bday package send to our room full of presents from her favorite character Peter Pan. I recommend getting the bday buttons from each park. It's amazing what a little Happy Birthday from a cm will do to a little one! The smiles just keep on flowing. It makes them feel so special. Our DD actually was sang to by the barber shop guys hile waiting for the parade and also by the guys that play the saxaphones. It was great. I also made special tshrts for us all saying it was her birthday. I would definately have breakfast in the castle. A MUST for any princess. Hope this helps have a ball!!!

The best way to guarantee some extra attention is to order a birthday cake at a character meal. That practically ensures that characters will come over to sing happy birthday! It was a singular experience for our DN a few years back!

I was just reading about the new princess fairytale at downtown disney where kids can get their hair and nails done and even dress up like a princess. Prices start at 35 dollars. But it sounds like the perfect way to begin that special day for the princess. :yay: :thumbsup2

We met up with friends last year and her daughter was turning 8 while we were there and we did the Wishes Cruise with them. The boat was decorated and there was a birthday cake and water and pop. It was about $225 and it was worth it. She really enjoyed it. She said she felt like a "princess". princess:

We've celebrated DD bday many times @ WDW. We've done:

- the WISHES birthday cruise, which was by far the best!!! They decorated the boat with balloons and had a cake/drinks onboard for her. People from other boats in the area were yelling "Happy Birthday" to her- very Magical!!!!

- got a birthday badge at Guest Relations in the Park we were visiting. I actually picked it up the day B4 and surprised her with it the morning of her bday. The CMs at the bus and hotel guests @ Bfast noticed it and all gave her birthday wishes prior to getting to the park. CMs will definitely notice it. Once, a CM announced it over the loudspeaker on TT, and she just about beamed for the rest of the day!

- when making ADRs for the day, I had them note that it was DD bday. We've had cupcakes, confetti, certificates @ different restaurants.

- ordered a basket from Gifts of Lifetime filled with goodies we could all enjoy

- had ADR @ 1900 PF once, and Prince Charming presented her with a cupcake and sang Happy Birthday to her! Another year, we ordered "Cindy's slipper" for her as a surprise dessert!

Your princess will enjoy celebrating her Birthday @ Disney! Good Luck in whatever you decide!
