something other than priceline

I know on the budget board a while back I found some information about a place to bid on travel that was not priceline. It seems like prices came up with icons. You didn't know which hotel it was except that someone had figured out which icons meant the Swan/Dolphin. Someone at my house threw away my guide I had printed. I've tried search and can't find it.

This is great I am up visiting my DD and here she is online with the DIS, with her own user name and everything. Too bad this one won't add to my post count!

Hope someone can help me out with what that web site was and which icons are for the Swan/Dolphin

You're probably thinking of Hotwire. you don't actually bid but, they'll say "We have a 3 star hotel for $XX a night" and then have the icons to list the amenities.

I think it is Hotwire and I think the icon info is on Better Bidding.com.

Thank You all. I knew when I went to hotwire it was part of it. Just couldn't think of better bidding.. Now I can get busy when I get home.

There is another website: biddingfortravel.com that has info. on bidding. When you look up hotels on Hotwire if you add airplane tickets to your search, they will show you the names of the hotels. I haven't been able to get Swan/Dolphin to come up with this, but have figured out which hotels are coming up with my searches.

You might want to post a question on the resort board about getting S/D recently through Hotwire. It seems like the icons and info. on Hotwire changes every so often, and I don't know if either of the bidding websites are that up to date.

I just tried hotwire for air and hotel and it came up with the dolphin for $402 pp , 4 nights, a total of $1206. BOS-MCO. Not bad. of course, the flights could be at 6 pm out and 6 am back- yuck!
