FYI I went to guest relations at Epcot to fill out a cast complement card for two cast members we had dealt with. When I asked the guest services cast member for it he looked at me like I had 12 heads. Then he and the other cast member working ran around like they had no idea what I was asking for or where they were kept and couldn't find thesealleged cards. Eventually I just convinced the guy to take a note with the promise that he would fill out the card if he eventually found them.

That stinks. I have sent emails to WDW Guest communications
and received confirmation that that my message will be reviewed by the appropriate leadership. Might work better than the cards.

That's really strange. I've filled out cast complement cards at GS at each of the parks and never has a CM not know what I was referring to when I asked for one. In fact, while I was filling out the one at Epcot, the CM asked me about the situation out of curiosity. I told him the whole story and by the end we were both welling up with tears. Heck, 18 months later I still can't get through the story without tearing up with gratitude for how the situation that led to the complement card was handled and on both my subsequent trips I have sought out the CM to say hi and thank her again and she remembers me and my son every time (she works one of the gift shops)

But I don't know how he could have known where I was sitting nine years prior unless he remembered. Any guesses on how he might have known that? I'm genuinely interested.

I believe that you really really really want to believe that it's the same CM inside that costume, and you really really really want to believe that he/she remembers you from a decade ago out of what would have been probably hundreds of thousands of visitors he/she has met since then.

As I read this I tried to think of any scenario in which "Stitch" may have remembered her from 9 years ago. I got one! So maybe it had happened to be "Stitch's" first day on the job, and his proud mom took a picture of him interacting with a guest and that picture is proudly sitting framed on his table. So he "remembers" OP's face and where she was sitting because he is so familiar with the picture! Just maybe? LOL
