Something new for 5th trip to MK

We've made 5 trips to disney in the past 6 years. My ds (11) and dd's (9 and 4) love it, but I'm trying to think of something that we haven't done or seen at MK...maybe something obvious that I've skipped over in the past or maybe something that tends to go unnoticed that would be fun to make as part of our mission this year? For example, our second year there I told everyone that we couldn't leave the park until we took our picture in front of the Walt and Mickey statue that we had seen in the planning video. Finding hidden Mickeys is probably my ds favorite thing to do...is there one that is especially hard to find that could be our crazy goal for 2005. Is there an especially good place for taking a family picture?

Have the kids done penny press. It slows you down and helps you see little out of the way places you might not find. Just slowing down in general is nice after a few trips. Take time to enjoy the resort and not try to see it all because you KNOW you will be back. Have you visited all the different resorts? Disney Quest? Both water parks? The board Walk? Done the family magic tour? Done a illumination cruse? Visited FW? Are there any shows that you always miss that you might make a point to see? Good luck and have a blast.

This last trip (my 15th) we did the campfire sing-along at Fort wilderness. it took a bit of travel time but really fun! We brought our own skewers, cho, marsh and graham crackers (we were on a budget).

Chip and Dale came out to sign autographs for a few minutes and then they played a movie on a large outdoor screen. There are bleachers and benches to sit on.

Best of all it's FREE for Disney resort guests!

We are planning to start doing Hidden Mickey's next trip and planning on La Nouba for our new things.

Before one of our trips I read "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" to my 4 kids, a chapter each night. Then, we spent the better part of an afternoon at the MK exploring Tom Sawyer's island. You could do the same thing with Swiss Family Tree House, with the book or the movie!!! On a recent trip we splurged and saw Cirque, it was worth EVERY penny!!! As many times as we have been to WDW we always find things to do and see that are new to us

Thanks for all the suggestions...I'm ashamed to say I never thought of reading Tom Sawyer before our trip....what a great idea! I think I'll hit the library tomorrow!
