Something fun - Could you pass the 3rd grade?

I did it, but I got a bit nervous at the end. Not much time to spare! It was fun, thanks.

1st try here, but I think it helps that my children learned these a couple of years back.

I think it's funny to hear how the eastern states mess so many of you up. It's some of the mid west and the Rocky Mountain states that I have to 2nd guess.

I guess the expression, it's location, location, location, that's the key.

I always screw up the Ohio valley for some reason. I think getting Missouri in the right spot was just a lucky guess!

I got it the first time!! Now let's do Capitals!!! :rotfl:

No kidding, I can name every state and its capital in alphabetical order without batting an eye. It's it funny what you retain from your school years?

I passed on the first try - fun quiz! My wife teaches 3rd grade so I'm emailing her this. :thumbsup2

I like this test! Does anyone recall one (I think I saw it here on the DIS) that you had to place the state shapes in a blank map? You got graded based on how close you came.

Second try.... :rotfl: It was all the little eastern coast states that nailed me AND I did states out of order. Once I went back and did them in order I finished with time to spare. Order = alphabetical and following the list!

Do you remember where it was? I would actually like to try that one again, and make my DS do it too.

Not that one, but those were fun. BTW ~ First time on that link I got a "C"

That was fun. I got it on the second try. I too did much better doing the states in alphabetical order. I am going to get my ds' to try it when they get back from boy scout camp. I am off to try the other ones posted. Thanks.

Umm, my son passed on his third try. He started third grade one month ago. But, he had a state puzzle, and could name all the states by the time he was 2 1/2.

Let's see....I got the first test completed the first time. The second link took me 3 times to get a B. The 3rd link (placing the states), which was my favorite, I got 90% & an average error of 32 miles. These are fun.

Now don't ask my any geography questions outside the USA. Those brain cells are being used up with Disney info. LOL
