Something About Nothing............ #14

Almost 1:00 am and I am still awake.
We finally got our IT issues resolved about 5:15. I normally leave work at 3:00 but yesterday I stayed until 5:30. When I got home dh was complaining about a pain in his side. By 1:00 he decided he needed to go to the ER. They ran all sorts of tests and scans but everything was negative. The most likely reason is a possible muscle strain. They gave him medication and sent him home and told him to follow up with his primary care physician. We got home around 4:30 am. I slept until 9:45 then went to work. I took a nap when I got home and slept for 3 hours. Oops. That is why I am still awake now.

Getting medical tests galore 6 month post op, will talk to surgeon Wednesday for words of wisdom. Friday, have a four hour test for another issue, then hope I’m done with this current round of them
Hope everything goes well for you.

Yep, another medal to add to the collection. Nice to see her training pay off
Congratulations to her.

You have had some quirky things happen in that office lol
It sure keeps things interesting. Next up - tackling a 1.5 year old claims issue.

Ooh, Taco Tuesday is here. Hope Charade’s office is better with its IT issues today
Thankfully much better today. No tacos for me, but I did have a burrito.

I'm going to try to get some sleep now.

Oh Charade, you had a heck of Tuesday, yesterday. Hope DH is felling better today. Not fun to come home and have to go out again. Glad that your IT at work finally resolved the issues, even if you had to stay hours later. And hope Caspian didn’t wake you up early this morning. By 1 am last night, I was sound asleep. I get to bed earlier Sunday thru Thursday. Well, at least for the next 6 weeks. One of which, will be having race and park fun. Yay, holiday time coming sooner than later.

And who do I see today, in the very light raining start, then dry, then about a mile from my house, little bit of rain, then dry the rest of the way. But no real traffic, and dark, in that predawn commute. Favorite parking spot, tea and back to routine I have been already for over an hour already. Ooh camel is here:

IMG_4782.jpeg

Hehe, so true camel. Friday, yay, Monday, ugh.
But a camel’s hump is a great way to say, get over the hump of this mid week day we call Wednesday, and yay, then Friday is only a day away. Woot!

Ah, and it’s a pay day Friday this week. ::yes::

Got a printout from my HR office, and we will okay, when I retire next month. And will keep little one on my employer insurance for 2 more years. Thankful I can continue that share in heath insurance cost when I retire. Then I will change it to just me. Hoping she finds her own employer insurance by then.

Ah, my office light likes to save money, I guess. If I don’t move enough to have the light think I’m in it, it goes off. Apparently, it just went off, and I have to do that wiggle movement to say, hey, I’m still in the office, darn light.

Thunderstorms chances this morning, then the clouds depart right after lunchtime, and glorious sunshine I will have, with it starting around a half hour before I leave this late afternoon. Yay, sunglasses 😎. Hehe, no rain when I got into my office. Phone says rain expected in 13 minutes. See, it’s a good thing I am an early arrival. Those coming in the next hour, will be rained on. And sigh, dry in the office, though almost cool enough, may use that sweater jacket.

Time for me to refill that tea cup.

Good morning homies. Have that Most Wonderful Wednesday today.

And hope Caspian didn’t wake you up early this morning.
Thankfully he let us sleep. I managed to get 6 hours last night.

And will keep little one on my employer insurance for 2 more years.
B still has a year left on our plan. I am praying she finds a decent job with good benefits after she graduates.

Dh was feeling good enough to go to work this morning. I need to leave soon. We have a new client coming in at 9:00.

It is supposed to dip into the 30’s tonight 🫣

Ah, so nice to see your gd enjoying life, Janet. She’s a cutie and growing up fast. Thanks for sharing news and pictures of her.
It’s fun to watch her in her adventures. Easier when a grand parent, pressure if off lol
Little one is no fan of that fast food taco place
Smart kid! I’m not quite sure what it is, not traditional Mexican, that’s for sure. Will say, I won’t turn my nose up @ the taco fries when they appear. Missed them the last few times.
Woot! Brother’s birthday today. I’d call him now, but he’s not an early riser.
Happy birthday to him. You should’ve called anyway…and ran lol
When I got home dh was complaining about a pain in his side. By 1:00 he decided he needed to go to the ER.
Why is it always @ night when people decide they need to go to ER after ‘waiting it out’. I’ve been guilty as charged too. Good to hear they found nothing emergent
Hope everything goes well for you.
Things went very well. They will watch me like a hawk, back in 6 months for another CT.

Another issue, another long test Friday. Living the high life here lol
Next up - tackling a 1.5 year old claims issue.
Oh, that doesn’t sound like fun. Surely, satisfying to crack it though I’d think

Congrats! Extending the coverage to 26 has helped so many people.

I remember telling my kids to take the jobs that included health insurance over higher pay. A shame, that’s the work we live in I suppose.
watching cartoons with grandson…
going to be a long day….
I thought i read the trip was cancelled due to shutdown. Good to hear you are getting to enjoy some time and make some memories with your GS!

Clear skies. Yep. Drop in temp. Yep. 70 at 5 am yesterday. 48 this early morning. A little brr was said, as I stepped out the door. Sweater jacket on. Office feeling a little cool. Yep.

Was such a clear sky, saw a white blip in the sky. Nope, not a star, a very high flying plane overhead. But as all quick enough predawn trips, this one was almost as fast. Too many red lights for me. And with the Monday a holiday, and NJ kids have the week off, was not nearly as big line coming in, as yesterday. I can see this Friday, being even more less people. But no matter. I get in early enough, I get to park in one of my two favorite parking spots, and backed into it. The a quick walk and elevator ride. Lights now have been on for an hour.

Someone is playing music loud enough, I can hear it from my office. Oops. Otherwise, it tends to be quiet the first hour I’m in the office. And even with this cooler weather, office won’t turn the heater on until mid November. So, have to get my sweaters out. Next week, in low to mid 60’s the high.

But yay, as I said to DH, one more sleep, and I’ll turn the alarm off tomorrow, when I get home. And yay, with that holiday Monday, another three days to not hear that alarm. Woot! And, decided needed to make next week a very short one. So making it a 3 day weekend three weeks in a row. Woot!

And how fun, Mac watching comics with GS. Enjoy time with your family, Mac. Nice they could come visit.

Ah, tea refill. Yep. Thirsty Thursday it is. And does a body good to not be thirsty. So a reminder today, drink up, don’t get to the point of feeling parched.

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday today. Good morning from a homie that had nature’s AC on high today.

Sounds like an enjoyable way to spend the day.

Why is it always @ night when people decide they need to go to ER after ‘waiting it out’. I’ve been guilty as charged too. Good to hear they found nothing emergent
I was a little annoyed because he wanted to go to the hospital in a neighboring city instead of the one we usually go to. It was actually a great decision. The ER wasn't busy and we were in and out in 2.5 hours. The last time I went to the ER I was there for 8 hours.

Clear skies. Yep. Drop in temp. Yep. 70 at 5 am yesterday. 48 this early morning. A little brr was said, as I stepped out the door. Sweater jacket on. Office feeling a little cool. Yep.
We had temps in the 60s today. I came home from work and opened windows.

What is that?

I love naps as long as they aren't too long.

Two weeks ‘til Orlando bound y’all!!!
Have a great trip.

My week ended similarly to how it began. It was about 10 minutes before quitting time and I was trying to post a client payment. The software crashed again. When I rebooted it my scheduler was completely blank. I called tech support and thankfully it was a simple fix. I need to have a nice, quiet weekend now.

Nope, Charade. But I may be up at that hour tonight. Glad your IT issue was fixed fast yesterday. Mine gets updates every so often. Then I have to reboot after most of them. My mail said had to close for updates as soon as I opened it this morning. So, no mail viewing for about 10 minutes. But at least that update did not need a reboot.

Generally, I’m not a night owl. But I do mostly stay up late when I don’t have that week day routine day the morning after, or I know I need to get up early for something I want to do that early morning after. Hence, was up 5 minutes before the alarm went off. Walked by the clock radio, before I left, and turned off the alarm. DH sometimes gets up with me, but lately, he’s in bed before me, or goes back to sleep after I leave. Rarely, does he nap in the afternoon, which usually means an earlier bedtime for him. But I am glad I found my mate, that is mostly an early bird, like me. When we both had that week day routine, he was out the door at the same time as me.

But as it’s Friday, not much traffic, but had a very aggressive driver that was tailgating me. I pulled over, and let him pass by me. I met him at the next light anyway. But glad he was in front of me, as saw him cut off 3 turning cars to turn in front of them, as I went straight. Those kind of drivers are annoying. And I was going around 10 miles over the speed limit the whole time. Would not be surprised to see him in an accident somewhere.

But as the holiday on Monday is this weekend, very quiet in my office and complex this early morning. Backed into in my one favorite parking spot, and no line at all coming in when I did. Tea has been filled in my cup twice so far. Have a short sleeve blouse on and may put that sweater on soon. 38 said the outside thermometer. Brr, 6 degrees from freezing. But will be 62 when I leave this mid afternoon. And a woot! Not only is it my short day, but will be 59 minutes even earlier today. Yay, they gave us that almost hour as to make our day that much less. Always appreciate that 59 minute gift of leave, every time they announce it the afternoon before. Particularly on my week day routine Fridays. And another yay, as most likely will just be at the start of the kids out, instead of the later time when all the kids are out. Should be a less traffic commute home. Or I am hoping anyway.

Glorious sunshine is this morning, then the clouds arrive around 1 pm. Then the next days have rain chances. Nor’easter is coming this weekend. Depending on how far it stays out to sea, will change the amount of rain we get. Today, they are saying around 2 inches by the last rainy time ends on Tuesday around dinner time. But at least then the rest of next week has mostly sunny to fully sunny days. And yeah, time of year for starting to wear a sweatshirt or sweats. Or at least pants, given 50’s highs to be had in that 10 day forecast heard this early morning. And hehe, had the heated car seat on the whole ride in. Weather. Our Octobers are the start of more cooler days, as we end this month. November starts that even cooler days, with once in a while, a warmer day here and there. Was a cool but gloriously sunny early November day I had older one. My hospital room looked over a bunch of Fall jewel toned tree leaves in that bright Election Day. And this year, his birthday is on our Election Day. When he was in school, he always liked when his birthday did fall on that day, as our school district always gives the kids a day off that day. Some of our polling places are in our schools, hence the need to not have kids around there that day.

Ah, Buckeev leaving in two weeks. Our countdown is, eek, about the same. Leaving on a Thursday this month, mid morning flight. Hope no delays given the lack of a budget. But hoping that budget gets passed sooner than our flight day is.

And, this is so right:

IMG_4783.jpeg

Excellent indeed.

Good Friday morning to all those homies, still sleeping or not. Hope all have a Most Wonderful Weekend. Hope some of the working homies get to enjoy the lazy day holiday Monday like me.

Woot! It’s a Friday homies.

Friday. Laundry day for me today. If I were still living in FL I would be on my way to Universal or Disney right now. I could use a little getaway right now.

I finished a new cross stitch last night. This one was requested by dh. We may take it to the framers tomorrow.

Oh no. Hope you are feeling better.
I still have cough, but feel some better. Now hubby has it.

Getting medical tests galore 6 month post op, will talk to surgeon Wednesday for words of wisdom. Friday, have a four hour test for another issue, then hope I’m done with this current round of them
Hope all your tests turn out good and you are heading in the right direction. Prayers for you dear lady.

Good to see all here are still vertical!
Yes, that is a blessing for sure.

Just finished up chopping up veggies for gardenia and dumping in the salt water soak. Did a smaller batch vs the one last week to just fill up four large jars. Did refrigerator pickles the other day, should be ready to go in a day or two. So tempted to try them early.
Sounds like you are busy using up the bounty of your garden.

Been busy putting up what I am calling a “curated” outdoor halloween display this year. Just too much else going on, will still knock their socks off.👻
I’am sure it will be fantastic.

Have managed to attend multiple football games to see GD cheer and DS coach. Was funny on Saturday, she had big regional XC meet in the early morning a few hours from here. Yep, another medal to add to the collection. Nice to see her training pay off
Congratulations on her getting another medal.

Then, the homecoming dance that evening. My teeth nearly fell out of my mouth when I saw the difference in appearance from a few hours earlier. Something about her growing up is more of a jolt to me than with my boys.
She is beautiful. It is both hard and rewarding to see them grow up into beautiful young ladies. She will always be your little girl no matter how old she is. You have made and will continue to make wonderful memories with her.

That’s a nice spread to appeal to nearly everybody. Did u make the gnocchi from scratch. It’s one thing I really don’t care to make, not when there is fresh stuff sold that tastes better than mine usually does.
I was on a time crunch. So I opted to buy them premade. Honestly they were pretty good.

Glad to hear your hubby was ok.

Sounds like you have really been through it with the computer situation at your office. Hope things settle down for you.

Lynne nice to hear everything is in place for your retirement. Being able to extend insurance coverage for your daughter is nice.

Mac so good to hear you are getting some time with your grandson. I’am sure he is thrilled to be with you.

Enjoy your time with the family.

I hope you are doing well.

Remembering you in my prayers.

Carole hope you and your family are well. Sending good wishes your way. You are missed.

It has been a bit busy since getting back from Florida around here. Hopefully this coming week will quiet down a little. I like being busy so no complaints.

This cold is hanging on. So you know how that goes. Hubby is now coughing so it seems to be the bad gift that keeps on giving. Hopefully it will pass soon.

Our granddaughter and great-granddaughter came in for a visit. It was so nice to see then. They spent a couple of days with us. It was so good to spend time with them. They left yesterday evening to head back home.

The leaves on the Ash Tree and Locust Tree in from are falling in earnest. The other trees will follow soon.

We will be the low 70’s next few days with lows at night in the mid 40’s. I think Fall has finally arrived here.

I need to get scootin a Have a Salon appt soon.

Have a wonderful day everyone doing whatever makes you happy.
