Pollen is getting bad here too, the down side to all the beautiful flowers and trees around us.

I booked a room for $227 per night. The same room is now $424. I wonder if they made a mistake when they initially posted the AP

I saw the rates fluctuating a lot a few months ago. I think you were lucky to lock in when you did.

We traveled back to Southern Indiana on Saturday and Sunday. Weather was warm in Florida it actually hit 91 degrees on Saturday as we traveled through Southern Georgia. We spent the night in Dalton and woke up Sunday to tornado warnings and a down pour of rain. It was 59 when we woke up.

The drive through Georgia was a nail biter with all the traffic and rain. Guess it was the spring break crowd going or coming on their trips.

We made it to our home about 2 pm Sunday.

Trying to get caught up everything.

I saw a video of Molly from Mammoth Club a youtube content person. She and I guess a lot of content creators were invited to preview Epic Universe.

She was very emotional and amazed at the very site of all the lands at Epic.

I have to admit I was amazed myself just watching her video. It looked incredible. Universal really out did themselves. Each one of the lands were very detailed.

I have been looking forward to Dark Universe and the Ministry of Magic.

All the parks are very detailed and she said that The Harry Potter park is Diagon Alley times 100. I look forward to seeing that.

Epic Universe is going to be the theme park destination this summer for sure.

Now back to reality. The pollen was almost over in the area of Florida where I live and now it is full swing at my house in Indiana. Itchy eyes will prevail for a little while.

Ah, the sun is shining brightly now, and was so dark on my predawn ride, where car immediately posted, icy conditions. Why yes, 32 degrees out it was. Almost wished I had winter gloves on as I walked into the building. But will always enjoy that sunny day, even with it the high of 49. Come on Mother Nature. Need those much warmer sunny days, please.

And thank goodness it’s mid week already. And who do I see?



Hehe, camel couldn’t resist being seen by Homer. Bring on this hump of a day feeling Wednesday, and wahoo, Friday, pay day one for me, is then a day away.

Yay! All that fun for UOAPs to enjoy pre-open days in Epic. So temping, and yay for Charade to partake. And yay, for DJ to be May fun time too. But i just said a few days ago, well look at those military rates. And so, yeah Charade, those airfare prices were a bit high. But I thought hey, let’s see if our Fall flights have gone down. Ooh they have, yay for me, as with a good amount of newly snagged credit, to make airfare not as bad. Thus, mouse sea fun coming up, though after that Epic park opens. Woot! I don’t think we even have gone that month. Asked a friend going same time as us, though staying as a land lubber. Can it be as hot as the surface of the sun that August feels like? She said, closer to it. Ah, so looking forward to those days of shorts and a t shirt, that can be worn 24 hours a day. Lizard fan, I am.

Ah, yes, the AC is on in my office, even if it has been cool outside. My sweater jacket put on, after winter jacket taken off. Sigh. Second cup of tea needed.

Hence, time to wish all a Most Wonderful Wednesday today.

Mummy dust well wishes continue to be sent to Keisha, on the other side of my state. Hope you are healing well, Keisha.

Yes, Dalton is a stop for us. They do have a nice option for restaurants to choose from.

Just booked a quick trip May 1-4 to check out Epic Universe.

I have been on the fence about doing the AP tickets as they have been up front about the possibility that some of the rides will not be available during that time.

I have watched a few Youtube folks experience during their day at Epic. One person was able to ride the Monsters ride and another was not able to as it was down. All the folks that were there for the content creators day have been in emotional awe of everything they saw at Epic Universe.

The park looks very immersive and awesome.

I need to get off the fence and decide soon.

I think I picked the worst time to go back to Orlando. Flight either way too expensive, arrive around midnight, or are red eyes. I’ve searched airports within a 2 hour drive of my house. Last night I decided on a flight from Greensboro that leaves around 11:00 and gets into MCO at 5:15. It was 27K flight miles. When I looked again today it was 40.5.

And so, yeah Charade, those airfare prices were a bit high. But I thought hey, let’s see if our Fall flights have gone down. Ooh they have, yay for me

I was thinking about booking a September trip if I could’t get in for the previews. Flights are much lower then.

I have been on the fence about doing the AP tickets as they have been up front about the possibility that some of the rides will not be available during that time.

I’m going to take the risk. I have a trip booked with dh in January, but I really want to see the park sooner than that.

I still need to book transportation from the airport

I’m so glad I booked my room yesterday morning. Stella Nova went from $121 to $313.

I’am wondering if there is some sort of algorithm that is set up for the hotel rates in their reservation system thats looks at the amount of rooms sold according to the day of the week as well as time (morning, Noon, Evening).

I have seen rates changing a lot even in one day.

I bought 2 tickets. One for May 2 and one for May 3.

Well I did it……..I’am going for the AP holder preview of Epic. I had been on the fence about it, but decided why not. It will be a short trip, but I’am excited to see the park in person.

Everything just kinda fell into place. Flight prices, times etc……worked out.

Did notice the price of the hotels change from yesterday morning when I booked things to yesterday evening. It was a considerable amount so I did redo reservations yesterday evening.

The dates I wanted for the preview dates were open and I’am looking forward to seeing the park and the new Grand Helios Resort.

Yesterday started off sunny and it reached 71. Then by the afternoon the clouds and storms brought in high winds, tornado warnings and flood alerts. The temp dropped 20 degrees in a matter of an hour.

The rivers are already high around here from all the rain.

I fixed by Keurig coffee machine again yesterday. I had looked up how to fix it a couple of years ago on youtube when it stopped dripping coffee. I have a brand new back up machine in case I need it.

You just need a small screw driver and 4 inch zip tie. It is working fine this morning.

Going to go out a pick up a few limbs that fell in the yard from the storm yesterday.

I have everything in place for the trip to see Epic Universe, but the rental car prices are all over the place. Will keep watching for a fair price.

Hope all the Sans family who are not posting are doing well. You are missed.

Thanks for all the good wishes, means a lot to me. Still feel as tho I’ve been hit by that proverbial truck and weak, doing the PT/conditioning. seeing improvement, slowly but surely. Having trips planned is a powerful carrot.

Absolutely, not complaining. Surgeon gave me the all clear, with just series of various follow up dr appts & CTs every few months to monitor things.

Got clearance to fly end of May for the Mr’s surprise 70th BD trip that was on the fence, dependent upon the follow up xray this week. It’s becoming difficult to keep it on the QT, emails coming in etc

Poor guy, I’ve aged him the last few months, his dark hair is really starting to go white. Told that is common with stress. Least he still has a nice head of hair!

Nice to read about all the going’s on here. Family, babies, & lots of travel on the horizon. Will be fun to hear about it.

Sounds like AJ & Charade will lead the Epic charge. Woohoo. You both must share deets!

I had just booked a hotel we like @ Ormond Beach to start out our 4th of July trip with the ‘lil, to accommodate the Buc-ees run. Insert rolling eyes here lol. A couple of days later, the influencers slammed the ‘net with their videos and the ‘lil started her unofficial campaign to visit Epic. Never asked outright, never saw so many videos of a park sent to me either hahahaha

What’s getting me is I had asked her months ago if she wanted to do it. she was like, naw…I’d rather do more disney days. Same sentiment so many WDW people are touting, me thinks as it’s too late for most to change their plans already in place for summer trips the way WDW is structured.

Couch, cough…sour grapes. It’s really stirring up that old weird competition thing people have being loyal to one park. Never did get that, Orlando is a buffet

Of course, I did cancel original plans & book a day in park & 2 nights at one of the value hotels there before head to BWV for bulk of the trip. As charade said, I missed the sweet spot as to pricing lol. It’s gone up in a handful of days since JIK anyone is on that fence…hut-hut.

So quiet here lately. Aside from the trip, nothing much is going on here. I’m going to have a busy end of April/beginning of May. April 29 is the Micky Dolenz concert. I will stay overnight since the venue is 2 hours away. I’ll come back home on the 30th and then fly out on May 1.
I need to get to Walmart and pick up a couple of things I will need for the trip. Today I went shopping for some pull on jeans. The last 2 times I have been through MCO the scanner showed something at my waistline. The only thing there is the zipper and button of my jeans. I’m hoping some jeans with no metal will keep that from happening again.

Charade I hope you can get some good flight options that fit in your time and price range.

Unfortunately the best I could do is a flight from Greensboro which is a 2 hour drive from where I live. I’m checking flights daily, but I doubt I will find anything better.
