We're going to be staying at the Boardwalk over July 4th. We have booked the Backstage Tour. This tour departs f/the front of Epcot at 8:45am. We have to be at the front of Epcot by 8:30am. Our problem is there is no direct bus to the front of Epcot f/Boardwalk. What is the best solution on how to get to the front of Epcot f/Boardwalk-being that early in the morning.

I'm assuming it's not an EMH morning at EPCOT? If so then I think the fastest and maybe only way to be at EPCOT on time is to take a taxi. It it's an EMH morning at the Studios you might be able to take an early boat to there and then an EPCOT bus from the Studios?

Starting at 6:30am there are specialty buses that take you to the parks for thing as the tours and early breakfastes. When you get to the boardwalk they should be able to tell you the time or go to the transportation board and look for Tyler and PM him. He is a WDW bus driver and very knowledgable.

Jasminesmommy,

Will they have this "early" buses to EPCOT from the Boardwalk Inn even though there are not "normal" EPCOT buses from there? I figured they wouldn't. I suppose the OP could be at the International Gateway at 8:00AM with his/her tour reservation number just like the early Princess Breakfast people. I would imagine the CMs would let them walk through the park to meet their tour at the front, but I'd hate if they didn't, that's why I recommended the taxi.

Maybe we are not understanding each other but if he is at the Boardwalk on Disney property he will not need a Taxi and make it using the special buses. The do go to Epcot and every other park. I know because I have used them. I did not use them at Boardwalk but every Disney hotel has them and as long as he makes the bus he could save the Taxi money.
Thank You Pea-n-me for the link to the info for the OP.

I really don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to walk into the park through the International Gateway. You probably got some form of confirmation for taking the tour, so I don't see why they wouldn't let you in.

There will be someone at the international gate way. Just let them know you are doing a tour and need to get to the front of the park. We have been scheduled to do a Segway tour and have been told just to walk through. I know others have done the same..Just plan to be at the International gateway before 8:30 to insure that you have enough time to get to the front of the park by 8:45

They have people at the International Gateway early because some of the restaurants have early reservations, like Norway Princess Breakfast. You can ask, but, I think that's what will happen. You'll be hoofin' it!

There are no EPCOT buses from the Boardwalk, or the YC/BC, because they have the International Gateway entrance. There are no MGM buses for those resorts either, because they have boat transportation. Just like there is no Magic Kingdom bus for the POLY because they have the monorail and boat transportation. My question to you was, if they don't normally have buses would they still have the "special early buses". I'm guessing no, but that's just a guess. When we stayed at the BWI there was no bus stop for EPCOT or MGM. That's why I think the OP either has to get through the International Gateway entrance early enough to walk through the park or take a taxi to the front of EPCOT.
