Someone on another board said:
We just got back from a 4 day Disney cruise and they were already selling staterooms for the Christmas 2004. It is a 10 day cruise. All the category 1 through 3 were already sold out.

??????????????? Is this true?

Well, I wasn't going to book 1-3 anyway!
SHUCKY DARNS!

Well, I called Castaway Club tonight after seeing that posting on the other board and the CM said she couldn't tell me straight out, but she did say they expect to be very VERY busy on Monday. ;)

What do you suppose THAT means? LOL

I wish I could book this one, but 10 days is too long to be away from my precious babies (greyhounds). :(

Don't you think it would be courteous for them to notify the Castaway Club members? That would be a nice perk to be able to get priority booking for something this special! I'll trade that over the towel, or the overnight bag, the onship party and the pins anyday!

Anyone know what the pricing will be like?

Yeah, but we all know that's not gonna happen! I really do wish we had more perks, but that's another thread in and of itself.

Too long for you or too long for the dogs?

I love my kids dearly, but i could leave them behind for a ten day cruise... no problem. Of course, they wouldn't speak to me again... ever. So I guess I'll go ahead and book space for them too. :D

Now if your pups were only dalmations... then maybe you could sneak them on as characters.

Definitely too long for them. We can't keep them in boarding (too traumatizing for an already traumatized racing life) and they are bit much for a sucker from our family to handle.

We're trying to figure out how we can get them onboard so we could work on DCL! I may have to go buy a can of paint.

As a person who has rescued nearly all the animals she's had in a lifetime, I commend you on adopting the grayhounds and understand your concerns completely. Pets are like children, they are dependent upon us for everything and we take on the responsibility for them.

The last one I rescued was Annie, the papillon who had parvo. I'm pleased to report that now after 10 weeks, Annie lives with my Mom and both are happy and healthy.

Again, I have concerns about being away for 10 days since it is the holidays and part of my family will not cruise with us. So it's a big decision.

Boy, I can tell you stories of what they do with these poor dogs when they don't get funneled through adoption rescue units. So sad. I love my not-so-little-girls. And I love cruising for Christmas...it is truely a very different cruising experience. It definitley is a very big decision. Maybe this 10-day will be so successful that they'll make an annual thing out of it. That way we'll be sure to experience it eventually.

***HUGS TO RAE AND ANNIE!***

Considering that they have a retirement home for race horses, it's a pity they don't for the racing dogs. Thankfully, there are people like you who have compassion and a fenced area!!!!

But this is what I heard

Key West, St. Lucia, Antiquilla, St. Thomas, St. Martin, and of course Castaway Cay!

After what my cat did over Easter, he is lucky to stay at a kennel!LOL

More details to come MONDAY!

That has got to be the best itinerary I have ever heard!!!!!! AMAZING. I just hope the cost is not double a 7 night.
